Naga youth urged to be agents of change

Maintaining that Nagas are talented and second to none, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today urged upon the Naga youth to be committed and reform the Naga society.

“One person alone cannot change the society. It has to be a mass movement,” he said while gracing 8th foundation day of KROS College as honoured guest. 

“I have hope in the youth,” he said adding that they have knowledge and it is up to them as to how they invest their aptitude, intellectual and moral character for themselves, family and the community.

Urging upon them to build up the Naga society, he said “Get knowledge, be empowered and be the agents of change.”

Rio also urged upon the youth to expose their talents and also encouraged them to go through the process of various trainings. “Education give you knowledge and knowledge give you power,” he said and urged the students to take education seriously. 

Rio lauded the KROS College for not only imparting quality education but also focusing on other extracurricular activities, accommodating the less fortunate people, students from poor family background and giving special emphasis on women education. 

Rio was also all praise KROS college for declaring plastic free and tobacco free institution as well as pursuing the principle of Swachh Bharat Mission in an effective manner.
