Nagabazar FC and Power Comm FC today registered wins in their respective matches at the ongoing Kohima Football League being held here under the aegis of Kohima Town Club.
In the first match of the day, Nagabazar FC came from a goal down to beat the formidable New Market FC 2-1.
New Market FC took the lead through Chisie Nyusou in 34th minute. However, New Market seemingly lost the plot in the second half as Nagabazar score two goals in quick succession as Kezhose equalised in the 68th minute and Razoulhulie Rosario Sote earning the winner three minutes later.
Yellow cards were shown to Achama Shitiri of New Market FC and Ketholetuo Dzeyie of Nagabazar FC for unsporting play.
In the other match, a hat-trick from Yhunshalo Kemp powered Power Comm FC to a 3-1 win over Addax FC.
Kemp scored in the 4th minute to give Power Comm an early lead before Imlongchaba leveled minutes before the first half ended. However, Power Comm took control in the second half as Kemp scored in the 60th and 85th minute to become the first hat-trick scorer of the KFL 2017.
Yellow cards were awarded to Dziesengulie Dul of Power Comm FC and Mezhiisietuo Sekhose of Addax FC.
