A total of 25 suspected COVID-19 cases have tested negative in Nagaland. According to the latest update, the results of 3 swab samples, which were sent on March 31, returned negative.

Six more samples were collected and sent later in the night, the results of which were pending arrival as on Wednesday evening, April 1. It also included samples of two persons from Dimapur, who were said to have visited a Tablighi Jaamat congregation in Delhi early in March.

Independent sources said they were traced in the wake of the alarm set off by the "secret" phone numbers list, which hit social media on March 31. One reached Dimapur on March 12 and the other on March 16, said one of the sources, while adding that their health condition looked fine.

As per another source, "They both looked okay but they will be quarantined as per protocol."

They were both traced from different locations in Dimapur on Tuesday evening, swab samples taken for laboratory analyses and placed under quarantine. Their families were said to have been placed under safe custody/isolation.

Phone tower locations of other persons, whose addresses were listed as Wokha, Zunheboto and Tuensang pointed to Delhi as their current place of residence.

The Wokha police had also posted an update on social media on Tuesday evening. It stated that the coordinates of two phone numbers, purported to be from Wokha, were obtained, which pointed the phones' locations to Delhi and not Nagaland.
