The 78 Bn CRPF at Zubza, Kohima celebrated Independence Day at Zubza camp under the leadership of Surender Singh, Commandant. The Independence Day celebrations began by a ceremonial guard of honour and hoisting of National Flag at the Unit Quarter Guard. In the evening sports activities was organized followed by feast at all sub units, out posts and Unit Head Quarter.  Further, ‘At home party’ was also organized in the SOs Mess of Unit HQr. KPC

On the occasion of Independence Day, members of Kohima Press Club (KPC) visited and interacted with the staff and patients of the Leprosy Hospital, Kohima, which currently has 10 in-patients and 12 working staff. Giving a brief status of the Leprosy Hospital, Atula, Non Medical Supervisor (NMS) said all the 10 patients have completed their treatment. KPC president, Alice Yhoshü expressed dismay to learn that ration for patients were completely stopped from the government’s side, and that they are surviving on the generosity of wellwishers. Senior KPC members HK Chishi and Oken Jeet Sandham also raised some pertinent issues regarding the welfare of in-patients. KPC donated essential items to the patients and staff of the hospital. Clinical Research Unit for Homoeopathy (CRU-H), Dimapur under CCRH (functioning under Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India) setup a Homoeopathic Medical Stall at DDSC Stadium, Dimapur on Independence Day. To commemorate the Independence Day, the Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland State Branch (IRCSN) visited Khuzhama TB Hospital. The team was led by Abeni TCK, Chairperson, IRCSN. They interacted with the patients and presented them nutritional supplement. The Red Cross team had an interaction with the Doctors and Nurses working at the hospital.
