Nagaland Account General (A&E) launches mobile app ‘nGPF24X7’

Kohima, December 6 (MExN): The Office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E) Kohima launched a mobile app ‘nGPF24X7’ on December 6 at the office Meeting Hall with Addl. Chief Secretary & Finance Commissioner, L. Temjen Toy, IAS as the chief guest and Principal Account General (A &E) Telangana, Hyderabad, S. Snehalatha, IA & AS as the special guest.  

According to a DIPR report, chief guest, L. Temjen Toy who launched the mobile app nGPF 24x7, in his address said, with the introduction of the mobile app nGPF 24x7, it can now move the department forward and also bring the state government closer to the Department with more cooperation between the AG Department and the state government. He also said with digitalization, pension work can now be processed without any hazels and shared how GPF statement details has changed from paper and computer work to Mobile App.  

S. Snehalatha, IA & AS, Principal Account General (A &E) Telangana, Hyderabad in her speech said she that the Office of the Principal Accountant General (A & E) Kohima have move one step forward with the introduction of the mobile App ‘nGPF 24x7, an app that issue GPF statement in e-mode unlike other states that have not yet introduced such online App and called it an ‘eye opener’. She also congratulated the department for its hard work and achievement.  

E. Mhonbemo Patton, IA & AS Principal Accountant General (A&E) while proposing the welcome address, said the department have been serving the people of the state for 44 years after branching from Shillong Meghalaya in 1974-75. He also said with the support from the State government and Technical support from NIC Kerala and NIC Nagaland, the department has now changed from paper work to digitalization and the department has now digitalized all functions like pension and GPF which is a ‘game changer’.  

E. Mhonbemo Patton, IA & AS also highlighted that the mobile App ‘nGPF 24x7 has been developed by NIC, Nagaland for GPF Accounts of Nagaland State Government employees and maintained by the office of the Principal Accountant General (A &E).  

The App is a miniature version of the Online GPF Information System which gives direct access to the GPF subscribers to their GPF Account details such as GPF status, Annual Statement and Missing credits details directly on the mobile phone which dispenses the need to use various internet browsers. The App can be downloaded through any smartphone from Google Playstore. He also mentioned that the Nagaland Online GPF was awarded at NE Technology Sabha Conference held at Guwahati under the category of Enterprise Application.   Kahoto J Yepthomi, IA&AS, Deputy Accountant General (A&E) while proposing the vote of thanks also thanked Somnath Sui, Scientific/Technical Assistant, NIC Nagaland State Centre who designed the Mobile App ‘nGPF 24x7 A short powerpoint presentation on the Mobile App was also presented by Hemanta Kr. Saikia, SIO Nagaland and Kemvu Elah, Addl. SIO, Nagaland while the programme was chaired by Akum Chuba, Sr. A.O/GPF.
