Nagaland: Ad-hoc teacher’s agitation enters 3rd day

The phase-IV indefinite agitation called by All Nagaland Ad-hoc Teachers’ Group (ANATG) 2015 Batch entered the third day here today.  

The ad-hoc teachers numbering 1166 under the banner of ANATG 2015 batch are demanding immediate regularization of their service.  

Staging the agitation here outside the office of the Directorate of School Education, the ad-hoc teachers today displayed banners and placards demanding justice.  

Among the many placard read: ‘Give us what is ours,’ ‘We demand equal pay for equal work,’ ‘Help us to educate not agitate,’ ‘Regularization is the only solution for us,’ etc.  

Meanwhile, Menukhol John, Principal Secretary of School Education has convened a joint meeting with representatives of ACAUT, PSAN and ANATG on June 21 at 3:00 PM at the Secretariat Conference Hall, Kohima.
