Nagaland Adolescent Girls’ Club annual conference held

Kohima, November 16 (MExN): Nagaland Adolescent Girls' Club, under the umbrella of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) held its annual conference for the Little Champs of BBBP with the theme, ‘Celebrating You’ at the State Institute of Rural Development conference hall, Kohima on November 15.

A press release received here stated that the programme was chaired by Juliana Medom, Assistant State Co-ordinator, State Resource Centre for Women. Daisy Mezhur, Secretary, Nagaland State Social Welfare Board and Mission Director, State Resource Centre for Women, spoke on ‘Our Journey Together,’ reminiscing her journey with the Nagaland Adolescent Girls’ Club. 

A special number was presented by Khriezotuolie Chaseand Kenei Mezhur from the Nagaland State Social Welfare Board, and another by the NAGC, Oking Christian School. Vote of thanks was given by Vilakhonuo Kiewhuo, NAGC Co-ordinator, followed by Showers of Blessing from Meneno V, Research Officer, State Resource Centre for Women. The programme ended with a flash mob from the girls of Nagaland Adolescent Girls' Club.

To mark this special occasion, scholarships were given to all the Champs of the BBBP, the Adolescent Girls' Club members, promoting girl child education.
