Bill authorizes withdrawal of Rs. 2154,20,03,000

The Nagaland Appropriation (No. 1) Bill, 2019 has been passed on the floor of the House at the ongoing third session of 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly.


The Bill was moved by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, who also holds finance portfolio.


The Nagaland Appropriation No. 1 Bill, 2019 authorised the withdrawal of Rs. 2154,20,03,000 from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the state of Nagaland for the financial year 2018-19.


The object of this Bill is to provide for the appropriation out of the Consolidated Fund of the state of Nagaland of all moneys required to meet the expenditure charged on the consolidated fund of state of Nagaland and the grants made by the Legislative Assembly for the expenditure of the Government of Nagaland for the financial year 2018-19.


After discussion and voting on Supplementary Demands for Grants for the year 2018-2019, it was passed by the House.


The House also passed Nagaland Lokayukta (Amendment) Bill, 2019 and Nagaland Nursing Council Bill, 2019 which were introduced on Friday.


Earlier, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio laid the Annual Administrative Report 2018-19 of finance department, Department of Under Developed Areas, Chief Electoral Office, Tourism, Youth Resources & Sports, Evaluation, Labour, Water Resources, Information Technology & Communication, Economics & Statistics, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services.


Minister for health & family welfare S. Pangnyu Phom, minister for transport, civil aviation and railways, land resources P. Paiwang Konyak and minister for Public Health Engineering N. Jacob Zhimomi also laid the Annual Administrative Report 2018-19 of the respective departments.
