DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 10 (MExN): Nagaland beat Meghalaya by 59 runs in the men’s under 19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy today.
Nagaland won the toss and elected to bat first. They managed to score 244 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 50 overs. Vedansh with 80 runs and Hem with 78 runs were the highest scorers.
For Meghalaya, Abhishek took two wickets while Santosh and D Rajput claimed one each. In the second innings, Meghalaya were bowled out for 185 runs in 45.4 overs. D Rajput with 87 runs and S Thapa with 50 runs were Meghalaya’s top scorers.
Meanwhile, Ram Jangir was Nagaland’s highest wicket take with 3 wickets. Hopongkyu, Odilemba, and Hem also bagged 2 wickets each.
With this win, the Nagaland team has won two matches, lost one and have yet to play six more.
