Khriekesa FC registered a comprehensive victory over Agape FC today to enter the semi-finals of the Capt. (Late) N. Kenguruse District Level Football Tournament 2018 here at the Kohima Local Ground.  

Khriekesa fired home 7 goals in the second half after the first-half was tied 1-1. Vimelie Chasie produced a hat-trick, who opened the score in the 10th minute to follow it up with two more in the 51st and 64th minute.   Khrieneituo Kezieo and Akuo-u Ciesotsii joined the goal fest in the second half netting two each each in the 58th & 85th and 90th and 90th+3 minute, respectively. Velukho Rhakho score the third goal in the 49th minute.  

The only goal for Agape was scored by Peteneizo in the 35th minute.   Rural development advisor Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire graced today’s match as a special guest. Neisielie Kenguruse, father of Capt (Late) N. Kenguruse, MVC also present.  

The semi-finals matches will take place on September 4 from 12:00 noon onwards with youth Resources and Sports Advisor Er. Zale Neikha as a special guest.  

The 3rd Assam Rifles (Naga Hills Battalion) is organising the Kohima leg of the tournament under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North). It will conclude on September 5. It carries a total cash prize of Rs. 40,000  

The champion will carry a cash prize of Rs. 25, 000 while runner-up will get Rs. 15,000. Golden boot and golden glove winners will also be awarded with Rs. 2500 each.  

The top two teams from this tournament will represent Kohima district at the state level version of the same tournament.
