Kohima, September 2 (MExN): Capt (Late) N. Kenguruse, MVC Football Tournament (District level- Kohima) organized by the 3rd Assam Rifles (Naga Hills Battalion) under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) got underway here at the Kohima Local Ground on Saturday.
The tournament was inaugurated by the Director General, Nagaland Police T. John Longkumer. In the opening match, Ziekezou FC defeated Rustic FC 1-0.
Nerhema Village FC pummeled Twenty XI FC 5-2. With the wins Ziekezou FC and Nerhema Village FC made it to the semi-finals stage.
Khriekesa FC will clash with Agape FC on September 3 at 12:00 noon. The match will be graced by rural development advisor Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire as special guest.
