DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 30 (MExN): The All Nagaland Electricity Field Workers Association (ANEFWA) has directed all members of the association to report to their respective district HQs and prepare to stage state wide agitation starting October 3.

This was informed in a press release from the ANEFWA president, Ayeto Sumi and General Secretary, Tepuhosul.

The ANEFWA had submitted a charter of demands to the government on relaxation of qualifying year for promotion; to lift the ban of W/C appointment and maintenance of W/C strength as recommended by the W/C and casual Employee Commission; non finalization of proposal for post creation and regularization of 266 numbers of field staff; and enhancement of risk allowance to the W/c employees at par with regular employees under the Power Department.

The association however stated that the government is yet to meet any of the demands, thereby prompting the agitation.
