Dimapur, June 25 (MExN): The Nagaland GBs have resolved to submit a memorandum, reiterating once again to GoI for final solution to the Naga political issue. This was decided during the annual office bearers meeting of the Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) held on June 25 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur.
NGBF, President, Sahleem Konyak and General Secretary, Shikuto Zalipu in a press statement said that the members present, expressed discontentment over the low quality red blanket distributed to GBs and decided to urge the Government of Nagaland for good quality and also to enhance the existing rate of red blankets that is deposited to the GBs Corpus Fund.
In the meeting, the NGBF petition for office site in Dimapur was discussed and decided to approach the concerned authority for allotment order.
The meeting also discussed about DDGBA issue, while terming the situation as unfortunate the member’s present appeal the GBs not to have tribal inclination but focus on common interest. The house once again after thorough discussion decided to request the GBs to leave aside the differences and join hand to strengthen DDGBA under the leadership of Khehovi Chophi who was selected officially on January 22, 2019 by the majority GBs under 8 administrative units of Dimapur district.
Earlier, the meeting started with a minute silence in memory of Late Sepithong, President of Kiphire District GB Association.
