Video conference with DEOs/MMC members
Kohima, March 19 (DIPR): The Election Commission will be organizing a Video conference based training of the DEOs/MMC members on Paid News, Pre-certification and MMC on March 20 at 1500 hours. All the MCMC members are to remain present during the Video conferencing on the date and time mentioned. CEO Nagaland, Sentiyanger Imchen has requested the Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Returning Officers of all the districts to inform all the MCMC members to be present during the video conference, vide order NO. ELE/CST-117/2013/1425 dated 19th March 2014.
Training for presiding/polling officials in Khm
Kohima: Special training is being organised on March 24 from 11:00 a.m. onwards at DC’s Conference hall, Kohima for those Presiding and Polling Officers who have not attended the training on March 14 and 15. Therefore, all concerned have been informed to attend the training. Action shall be taken against those officials failing to attend the meeting.

AEO Peren informs
Peren: The Assistant Election Officer, Peren, Joybell has informed all BLOs of 6-Tening and 7-Peren A/Cs under Peren District to collect the Annual Remuneration for the Block Year 2013 (Jan 2013 to Oct 2013) in connection with Special Summary Revision of E/Roll (wrt 1/1/14 as Q/D) from the office of the Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Peren w.e.f. March 18 to 31 during office hours by producing BLOs I/D Card without fail and thereafter no payment will be entertained.
SM/SO training at Kiphire
Kiphire: In view of the forthcoming general election (Lok Sabha) district administration of kiphire district has conducted one day training for Sector magistrates (SM)/ Sector Officers (SO) on 18th March 2014 at DC’s conference hall.
DC & ARO Kiphire Neposo Theluo remained the polling officers that the conduct such training programme is just a refresher course to get prepared for most of the polling officers as the state election machinery largely depend on for the successful and smooth conduct of the election process in the district.
DC & ERO also said the district election machinery would issue Electronic Photo Identity Card (EPIC) to the bonafide card holders to ensure one man one vote he also inform that SM’s / PO’s should complete distribution of EPIC within five (5) days.
Neposo also remained the Polling Officers to visits each and every polling station in the district to assist their basic minimum facilities requirement and to work along with the concern village councils for arrangement of volunteers so that differently able person could franchise their rights. SDO (C) & ERO Dr. Tinojongshi Chang presented a power point on role of Sector Magistrates/ Sector Officers.
SVEEP meeting
held at Peren
Peren: SVEEP meeting for forthcoming Lok Sabha Election was held at DC's Conference Hall Peren on March 19. The ADC Peren Dr. Kadambari Bhagat highlighted the ethical voting base on clean and clear election. The meeting was attended by District Administrator, Church representative and NGOs from Peren district.
