Nagaland mining ban comes into effect

Dimapur, January 22 (MExN): The Nagaland State Government has banned illegal coal mining across the state.  It has also imposed a “provisional mining ban on all Firms/Companies which have been issued with mining licenses.”

The decision has come in pursuance with the Cabinet’s  meeting decision held on January 7.

The ban has been enforced with “immediate effect and until further orders,” a release from DIPR stated.
