AR apprehends NSCN (K) cadres
Dimapur, January 20 (MExN): Mon Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) launched an operation on January 17 and apprehended two individuals - NA/20353 SS Pvt Yango Konyak, 18 years and NA/20354 SS Pvt Longphong Konyak, 24 years. Lt Col L Vincent Patton, PRO, HQ IGAR (N) in a press release stated that the apprehendees were handed over to Mon Police Station for further investigation.
NNC (Parent Body) condoles
Dimapur, January 20 (MExN): The Naga National Council (NNC) Parent Body has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Kevitsielezo Phizo who died on January 17. Z Royim Yimchunger, President NNC-Parent Body in a condolence message stated that Late Phizo was a man of integrity and humanity. “He guided and helped his father Late AZ Phizo and for the Naga National Council in many ways. The sacrifices and service rendered by him will be ever remembered by the Nagas even in the days to come.” Royim further stated that for the cause of Nagas, late Phizo's family members faced many hardships and difficulties during his father's time. The NNC Parent Body shared in solidarity over the grief of the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
