VCRC sales day today 

Kohima, October 9 (MExN): Viswema Christian Revival Church (VCRC) is organizing sales day at PHQ junction Kohima on October 10 in aid of new Church Building. The sales day Convener, Tepumekro Sothu stated that varieties of items will be available from 6:00 am onwards. Some of the many items are muodi, local pork, dog meat, chicken, snails, larva (kelu), bee, sticky roti, flowers, organic vegetables, wild vegetables and fruits, hardbroom, mura (seat), furniture, firewood, bamboo, handicrafts and many more.

 

Child Rights sensitization prog today 

Kohima, October 9 (MExN): The District Child Protection Unit, Kohima under the Department of Social Welfare will be organizing a one day sensitization programme on ‘Child Rights & Role of Village Level Child Protection Committee’ for the villages under Chiephobozou Block on October 10 at 11:00 a.m. at DB's Court, Chiephobozou. Vekhoyi Chakhesang, ADC Chiephobozou will grace the function as the special guest. Therefore, all the villages under Chiephobozou Block are requested to send two representatives each from village council, women and youth organization to attend the said programme.


 
CGOK general meeting on Oct 12 

Dimapur, October 9 (MExN): The annual general meeting of the Chakhroma Gazetted Officers Krotho (CGOK) will be held on October 12 at Chümoukedima Town Council hall. Advisor, Sericulture, Excise & Minority Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, IAS Rtd will grace the meeting as the special guest. All members both retired and active are requested to attend the programme without fail. 

 

Girl Child day on Oct 11

Wokha, October 9 (MExN): Women welfare Officer, DLCW, Dr Wonchano E Enny informed that the District Administration in collaboration with Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) and Sakhi-One Stop Centre Wokha, under the banner of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) will be observing the International Day of the Girl Child, to promote fulfillment of girl’s empowerment for this significant event on October 11 at 11:00 at Town hall Wokha. In this regard, all private, government schools and colleges are informed to nominate 40 students from class 8 and above from each respective schools and colleges to attend the function.

 

DC Mkg notifies DPDB members

Mokokchung, October 9 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner & Vice-Chairman, District Planning and Development Board (DPDB), Mokokchung, Rajesh Soundararajan, has informed all the DPDB members that the date and time of District Planning and Development Board meeting for the month of October 2019 will be notified later.

 

DC Mon revokes notification 

Mon, October 9 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner, Mon Thavaseelan K, IAS, in a notification has stated that in the interest of public, the office notification issued vide order no. GA/ESTT-99/2012/2009 dated the 21st September 2012 regarding the public interview on Wednesday is revoked with immediate effect.

 

Free Mass Vaccination in Kohima 

Kohima, October 9 (MExN): Free Mass Vaccination programme under Foot & Mouth Disease Control Program (FMD-CP) for all cloven-footed animals (Cattle, Buffalo, Sheep, Goat and Pig) will be conducted by the Department of AH & Veterinary Services, Nagaland in the month of October 2019. The public under Kohima District are therefore, requested to c-operate and avail the facilities.

 

WCBCC Children Dept organizes talent hunt 

Dimapur, October 9 (MExN): The Western Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (WCBCC), Children Department organized a talent hunt programme at Chakhesang Baptist Church, Dimapur on October 2. WCBCC Children Department Chairperson, Rharhü Mocha in a press release informed that there were ten competition categories- solo, musical piece, duet (folk tune), storytelling, art, craft, photography, worship dance, drama and fruit/vegetable salad. The programme was organized to support and promote the talents and skills of children by giving them a platform. Dr. Husazulu Chuzho, Registrar, Discipleship Bible College exhorted at the closing program. She encouraged the children to use their talent for the glory of God.

 

WDAU social work on Oct 26

Wokha, October 9 (MExN): Wokha District Auto Rickshaw Union (WDAU) has informed that the Union will be organizing a social work on October 26 from 8:00 am onwards. The Union in a press release urged all the pedestrian and travelers to bear the inconvenience on the day.

 

State BJP ST Morcha VP resigns  

Dimapur, October 9 (MExN): James Akhram, the vice-president of ST Morcha of the BJP Nagaland State Unit, has resigned from his post. In a press release, Akhram informed that he had resigned from the post on October 5. He, however, did not give any reason behind his resignation. BJP ST Morcha is the Scheduled Tribes wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
