Change of venue for NPF general convention

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 17 (MExN): The Naga Peoples’ Front (NPF) today informed that the forthcoming Naga People's Front 'General Convention' schedule on November 22 will be held at Naga Solidarity Park, below New Secretariat. The venue has been shifted from Capital Convention Centre to Solidarity Park due to the congestion of the earlier proposed venue, a press release from the NPF informed.

 

NCSU Peren District Unit to conduct social work

Peren, November 17 (MExN): The NSCU Peren District Unit will be conducting a one-day mass social work on November 23 between Peren-Jalukie Road. NCSU Peren District unit in a press release has requested all the members of NCSU Peren to participate in the mass social work. It has also appeal each NCSU member to extend support in terms of machineries, dumpers and JCBs to be able to conduct the work in a fitting manner. The Social work will commence at 8:00 am and therefore all are requested to gather at Kejanglwa Junction. Further, the union also appealed to Governmental Departments under Peren District to extend possible help and support in this endeavor. 

 

Ex PAN meeting on Nov 21 

Dimapur, November 17 (MExN): The new team President of Ex-PAN has called its first consultative meeting of Ex-PAN office Bearers, Executive cum District incharges and the Advisors of Ex-PAN on November 21 at the residence of Ex-PAN Treasurer, Tiameren at Naharbari, Dimapur, House No.193 from 11:00 am.

 

Niuland & Ato areas students union call meeting 

Dimapur, November 17 (MExN): The Joint Coordination Committee (Niuland Area Students' Union and Ato Area Students' Union) has convened a joint meeting on November 20 at 2:30 pm at Vihokhu village council hall. The JCC has asked GBs and council chairmen of Naga United village, Showuba old, Showuba new, Xhelhozhe, Nihoto, Vihokhu, Niuland Area GBs Association, Ato Area GBs Association and Kuhuboto Ghakhu Kukami Kuqhakulu to attend the meeting. 

 

Farmers get benefit from PM-Kisan

Dimapur, November 17 (MExN): The Government of India (GoI) launched a programme Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan), which was officially launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 25. A press release informed that the programme is a farmer’s welfare scheme where the entire farmers irrespective of landholding size are given Rs 6000 per year. The fund is given to farmers by the Central Government as income support to meet petty expenses. The Fund is transferred from the Central’s finance department directly to the farmers’ account in three (3) installments every year, the release added. The State Government in general and Agriculture Department in particular acknowledged the Government of India on behalf of the farming community of the state for the benefit rendered to the farmers. Numbers of farmers uploaded till date is 2,33,366, while1,32,929 farmers have benefitted. Total amount received by the state farmers till date is Rs 52,52,04,000.

 

Patton offers condolence

Dimapur, November 17 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister and BLP (BJP Legislative Party) leader, Y Patton has mourned the demise of Inaho, Treasurer, State BJP ST Morcha at NHK on November 14. “Inaho was a humble and sincere worker at the grassroots level who rendered his service to the party and the people with dedication,” read a condolence message from Media Cell, Deputy CMO. In his demise, the party has lost an efficient leader whose services will be missed, the message added. Patton along with the BJP legislators extended sincere condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
