Application for Kohima two-wheeler taxi permit 

Kohima, November 18 (MExN): In continuation to the office notice, S Yaongsanglee Chang, Regional Transport Officer & Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Kohima has informed all concerned that the last date for submission of application for two-wheeler taxi permit for Kohima capital town has been fixed for November 22. The application form for the same will be available in the office of the Deputy Commissioner & Chairman Regional Transport Authority, Kohima.

 

NSDMA table top conference

Kohima, November 18 (MExN): The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department will be conducting Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx), a mega mock drill on the November 21. In this regard, a table top conference will be held on November 20, 10:00 am in the Secretariat Conference Hall. A press release from Johnny Ruangmei, OSD to the Government of Nagaland has requested all AHODs/HODs to attend the conference as their roles and responsibilities as per the Incident Response System (IRS) will be discussed. Similarly, all the District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMAs) will also conduct table top conference at the district levels on the same day, it informed. The NEPEx will be conducted, simulating an extreme weather condition which cuts off all communication and essential goods. The NEPEx is conducted annually to test the preparedness level of the State machinery in handling any kinds of disasters.

 

DDTWTA ‘overwhelmed’ by positive response

Dimapur, November 18 (MExN): The Dimapur District Two Wheeler Taxi Association (DDTWTA) today said it was overwhelmed by support and positive response from Dimapurians for giving platform to many unemployed youth to earn livelihood through the two-wheeler taxi service in and around Dimapur. A press release from President Khrozote Kapfo and General Secretary Joel Ngullie stated the numbers in passengers was increasing day by day. In the event of requiring more riders to accommodate the passengers, the officials of the Association have invited more interested riders to join the earning opportunity. Both existing and new Scooty riders can enroll at the earliest on first come first basis during office hours by contacting 8787883848, 9856797479 and 6909149379. The office also assists for new riders to get Scooty on loan, the release added.

 

Wokha DPDB meet postponed

Wokha, November 18 (MExN): Vice Chairman DPDB and Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Orenthung Lotha has informed all the members of DPDB that due to the mega mock drill exercise on disaster management from November 20 to 21 in the district, DPDB meeting fixed on November 21 is being postponed till further notice.

 

President LJP revokes expulsion order

Dimapur, November 18 (MExN): President, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), Nagaland state unit RL Nelson, has revoked the earlier expulsion order its Vice President Peter Magh, with immediate effect. It was resolved after an emergency meeting of the state unit with state executive members was held on November 18. This was stated in  a press release from  President Nelson. Meanwhile, the LJP, Nagaland state unit has convened a meeting on November 20, 10:00 am at the Party Office, Sewak road, Dimapur. LJP in a press release has directed all the state executive members to attend the meeting without fail.

 

CEC traditional meeting

Kohima, November 18 (MExN): The Naga People’s Front (NPF) has convened a Central Executive Council (CEC) traditional meeting on November 21, 3:00 pm at its Central Office Headquarter on the eve of its General Convention slated on November 22. Press Bureau, NPF in a press release has requested all the CEC members to attend the meeting without fail.
