Deputy CM greets people of Nagaland

Kohima, December 1 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton has greeted the people of Nagaland on the occasion of Hornbill festival, which also coincides with the 57th celebration of statehood. Patton in his greetings also extended a “hearty welcome to all the domestic and foreign tourists” to come and enjoy the different colors of Nagaland during Hornbill festival, which is also called the ‘festival of festivals.’

 

DDLSA to observe International Day of PwDs

Dimapur, December 1 (MExN): Dimapur District Legal Services Authority (DDLSA) in collaboration with Health and Family Welfare Department (CMO/MS/DDRC) and Social Welfare Department along with Exodus Federation Disabled People Organization (DPO) will be observing the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) on December 3 at District Disability Rehabilitation Centre, District Hospital, Dimapur. On this day, disability certificates, social welfare schemes, unique disability ID will be issued and free legal services will be provided. PwDs in and around Dimapur have been requested to attend the programme and avail the benefits.

 

CFD next prayer meet on Dec 3

Dimapur, December 1 (MExN): To strengthen the unity among all Christian brothers, sisters and other religions, Christian Forum Dimapur (CFD) began Christian Fellowship in different denominational churches in Dimapur. The members also decided to have the fellowship on the first Tuesday of every month from 6:30 am – 7:30 am. A press release from CDF office Dimapur, Rev Moses Murry has invited all “to pray for peace in Nagaland, especially the pastors, reverends, priests and faithful. We pray together for the immediate settlement and find sustainable solution for the protracted Indo-Naga conflict.” The release added that the members have been praying in different denominational churches from the month of October. The next prayer meet will be held on December 3 at Assembly of God Church (AG) Dimapur, to be led by Rev Dr CP Anto.

 

Wokha to observe World Disability Day

Wokha, December 1 (MExN): To commemorate World Disability Day, Wokha District Administration, District Legal Services Authority, District Level Centre for Women-Mahila Shakti Kendra and Department of Social Welfare will be organizing a ‘Micro Empowerment camp’ for differently abled person/disabled person at Wokha Town Hall on December 3, 10:00 am. It will be held under the theme “Promoting Participation of Person with Disability and their Leadership.” The camp will focus on registration for disability certificate, issuing of disability certificate, sensitization for various welfare schemes for disabled persons and registration for UDID (unique disability identity card). As per DIPR report, the disabled individual is also requested to come and register their name under Wokha District Differently Able Association on the same day. Further those who did not have disability certificate are requested to bring their Aadhar or any government ID documents and passport photo for registration.
