ANGPTA 1st triennial conference today

Kohima, February 3 (MExN): The 1st triennial conference of All Nagaland Government Primary Teachers’ Association (ANGPTA) will take place on February 4 at 10:30 AM at Ura Academy Hall, Kohima. Nagaland’s school education adviser K.T. Sukhalu will grace the occasion as the special guest while school education principal secretary Menukhol John will be the special invitee. Welcome address will be delivered by ANGPTA president James Ruokuoselhou.

 

SLCC on 7th Economic Census today

Kohima, February 3 (MExN): The Chief Secretary and Chairman, State Level Coordination Committee (SLCC) on 7th Economic Census has convened a meeting on February 4 at 12:00 noon in his conference room, Secretariat, Kohima to discuss matter concerning latest district-wise survey updates, erroneous payment of commission by the CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd. into the bank accounts of the Supervisors of the 7th Economic Census and the difficulties being faced by the Deputy Commissioners. All members of the SLCC are requested to make it convenient to attend the meeting.

 

NGBF welcomes recent peace accord in Assam 

Dimapur, February 3 (MExN): The Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) has welcomed the recent historic signing of peace pact between the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) and GoI. The Federation congratulated the Bodo community of Assam and GoI for reaching a ‘consensus’ leadings to signing of peace accord followed by surrendered of arms and ammunitions. “With this great achievement, it has boost up the chance to bring permanent peace in the north east region. It was really an appreciable effort which has created a significant milestone under the leaderships of both Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Assam,” NGBF President Sahleem Konyak; General Secretary Shikuto Zalipu and Media Secretary Akhu Naga stated in a press release. It added that the Federation “feel this gesture of peace initiative should inspire all of us and we should strive for peace for better conditions of living in our north east region.”

 

Dimapur DPDB meet postponed

Dimapur, February 3 (MExN): The monthly DPDB meeting of Dimapur district for the month of February 2020 scheduled on February 5 is postponed till further notice. This was informed in a notice issued by DC Dimapur Anoop Kinchi, IAS. 

KMH 4th general 
session on Feb 5 and 6

Dimapur, February 3 (MExN): Khiamniungan Meniu Hoikam (KMH) 4th general session will be held on February 5 and 6 at Thonoknyu Hq, under the theme ‘Dignity and progress.’ President KMH, Niukai Penglang has informed that the executive meeting will be held on the evening of February 5 and the registration fee will be Rs 10 each. Transportation is to be arranged by own unit and traditional dresses will be compulsory.

 

NSCM (IM) mourns demise of cadre 

Dimapur, February 3 (MExN): The NSCM (IM) has expressed grief over the untimely demise of (L) Sergeant Major Pamshim Ramror of Kiusumong Battalion, Naga Army from Teinem village under Wung Tangkhul Region (WTR) on February 2. The NSCN (IM) MIP in a press release stated that late Ramror enrolled in the Naga national service on October 6, 2005. “For his selfless contribution to the Naga national cause, his name shall be recorded in the pages of the Naga history and his sacrifice for the Naga nation ever be cherished by all,” it stated while adding that the office of the Adjutant General, Naga Army bestowed upon him posthuhmously the rank of 2nd Lieutenant on February 3, 2020 in recognition of his service to the Naga nation. It also conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and pray to the Almighty God to grant his soul eternal peace and rest.
