Transformation crusade from today

Kohima, January 14 (MExN): The 12-day long transformation crusade will start from January 15 at Kohima Local Ground from 4:00 PM onwards. Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo, Koinonia Baptist Church will act as the speaker on day one. The programme will be led by Khriehuzo Lohe. Other highlights of the programme include; invocation prayer by Pastor Vezokho Vero, praise & worship- Koinonia BC praise team and offertory prayer by Toshi Ao, pastor, Ao CRC Kohima and testimony by Khrieketounuo Suohu.

BHSS condemns student’s abduction

Mangkolemba, January 14 (MExN):  The Managing Board, staff and students of Baptist Higher Secondary School (BHSS), Mangkolemba have strongly condemned the forceful abduction of a student of the school by Onjitkum, 26, of Changki village and a resident of Hokiyong ward in Mangkolemba. In a press release, the school has asked the authority concerned to take prompt action in awarding befitting punishment for the “inhuman” action.  The school further asked the police department to do thorough investigation as to whether there are any other person(s) involved in the “audacious and barbaric act that has created fear psychosis among the students, especially the female students.”

ENPO consultative meeting

Dimapur, January 14 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) has convened an emergency consultative meeting on January 18, 2014 at Hotel Crown, near Nagarjan Junction, Dimapur at 10: 00 am. ENPO Joint Secretary, Manlang Phom in a press release has informed all ENPO office bearers, all 20 ENLU members, six federating tribal units’ presidents and secretaries, Frontal organisations ENSF, ENGOA, ENWO President and Secretary to attend the said meeting without fail.

Kyong Students' Union conference

Wokha, January 14 (MExN): Kyong Students' Union is organising its 49th general conference from January 20 to 22 at Lakhuti Village, hosted by Lakhuti Students' Union. The conference scheduled to be held under the theme, "The Kyongs at Nagaland's fifty years of Statehood" will have Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Governor of Nagaland as chief guest. Therefore, the union has informed all its constituent units to attend the conference with minimum 10 (ten) delegates. All the senior leaders, well-wishers have also been invited to the conference.

NCYM CEC annual meeting

Kohima, January 14 (MExN): The annual meeting of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of Nagaland Catholic Youth Movement (NCYM) will be held at St. Joseph’s Parish, Longleng, on January 18 and 19. The NCYM CEC comprises of NCYM office bearers, two representatives from each Tribal unit and President of each Parish unit affiliated to NCYM. NCYM Spokesperson, Clement Odyuo has informed in a press release that there will be bus at Kohima NST Station at 6:00 am on January 17 with pickup points at Chiephobozou, Tseminyu, Longsa, Wokha and Mokokchung. All the members have been requested to attend the meeting without fail.
