Edu programme on July 18

Kohima, July 16 (MExN): The Nagaland State Pharmacy Council (NSPC) in collaboration with the Nagaland Pharmacists’ Association (NPA) will be conducting the ‘Continuing Pharmacy Education’ (CPE) programme on July 18 at the State Academy Hall, Kohima hosted by the Kohima District Pharmacists’ Union. Registration will start at 9:00 am and the programme will begin at 10:00 am. “As per section 4.2 of the Pharmacy Practice Regulation 2015 for renewal of registration, the Pharmacist shall attend minimum 2 refresher courses in Pharmacy of minimum one day duration in a span of 5 years. The registered Pharmacist (working/Community) having valid and updated registration are eligible for the course,” Z. John Tipu, General Secretary, Kohima District Pharmacists’ Union stated in a press release. A certificate will be issued by the Council, which will be treated as a valid document for further renewal of registration. “Pharmacists practicing in the state may avail the opportunity,” the release added.

CYO presidential meet on July 20

Medzhiphema, July 16 (MExN): The Chakesang Youth Organization has convened its first presidential meeting of the tenure of 2019-22 on July 20 at 11:00 am, GYO hall, Medzhipema town. It further requested all the villages under CYO and unit president/secretary to attend the meeting without fail.

Dimapur informs

Dimapur, July 16 (MExN): The Assistant Director, Food & Supplies, Dimapur has informed all the concerned Priority (PHH) and Aantyodaya (AAY) beneficiaries under Dimapur District that as per the directive of the Ministry, the directorate of Food & Civil Supplies Dimapur, in a memo dated July 9, has decided to delete beneficiaries i.e. (HoFs/ Members) who cannot produce Aadhaar, only to be replaced with genuine beneficiaries from July 15. “This in line with streamlining of the END-TO-END Computerization of NFSA operation in the state and to meet the Target set by the Ministry i.e. March 31, 2020, the Assistant Director, Food & Supplies, Dimapur stated in a press release.

NSUB informs

Dimapur, July 16 (MExN): The Naga Student Union Bengaluru (NSUB) in a press release has notified that the membership registration under the NSUB has started for the year 2019-2020. It further informed all the Nagas residing in the city of Bengaluru to register under the Union.

ASTD condemns alleged murder

Dimapur, July 16 (MExN): The Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD) has condemned the alleged “inhumane murder” of one of its member, whose decomposed body was found floating in a water near a timber mill in Chümoükedima town area, Dimapur. The Union in a press release while appreciating the prompt recovery of the death body by the police authority stated that “such act of barbaric terror cannot and should never be tolerated by any civil society.” It has urged the Forensic Department to expedite the report at the earliest and also called upon the law enforcing agencies to “thoroughly investigate into the matter diligently, book the perpetrator and to bring justice without any delay, so as to ensure due justice be delivered to the deceased’s family members and an exemplary punishment be awarded to the culprit as per appropriate sections of law,” it added.
