State JD (U) executive meeting held

Dimapur, January 6 (MExN): The State Unit Janata Dal (United) held an emergency State executive meeting on January 4 at Hotel Saramati to discuss the “internal development that has appeared through media.” The State JD (U) general secretary, Lakiu Kips in a press release stated that the house discussed the appointment of State JD (U) convener, NSN Lotha without the knowledge of the State unit. The house resolved to clarify the matter from the party high command, for which the party constituted a two-member team headed by its president to meet the central team at New Delhi.  

KMC notifies on census

Kohima, January 6 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has notify all the nineteen ward under the jurisdiction of Kohima Municipal Council to submit the number of household in their respective wards for KMC census on or before January 31, 2018. This was stated in a press release issued by Kethosituo Sekhose, Administrator, KMC.  

Armed license holders under Mon informed

Mon, January 6 (DIPR): All arms License holders under Mon District have been informed that the National Database of Arms License (NDAL) portal for uploading details of arms licenses and issue of Unique Identification Number (UIN) to all licensees has been re-opened. The last date for uploading details and generating UIN has been extended to March 31. All arms License holders who have not updated their details in NDAL and generated a UIN are hereby notified to produce their License and furnish required particulars to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mon in the prescribed format available with this Office. Arms Licenses without an UIN would be invalid after March 31, 2018. Arms License holders who already have an UIN need not furnish their details again.  

One dead body recovered

Dimapur, January 6 (MExN): One dead body of ‘Non-Naga’ female around 40 years of age was found at Chakhesang Building Organization (under construction), Dimapur on January 5. The press release issued by Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police/PRO, Dimapur, Nagaland stated that no injury mark has been found during preliminary enquiry and is suspected to have died of illness. After obtaining all legal formalities the deceased was shifted to Civil Hospital Morgue for Post-Mortem Examination and identification. Claimant for the dead body or relatives and friends are requested to contact Women Police Station, Officer-in-Charge.  

Registration drive for labourers and traders under Medziphema

Medziphema, January 6 (MExN): The Medziphema Union of Labour, Trade & Commerce is initiating a registration drive for all the labourers and traders under Medziphema jurisdiction. Therefore, all concerned are directed to comply with the same. Medziphema Union of Labour, Trade & Commerce in a press release informed that the registration drive will continue till March 30, 2018. After the expiry of the registration period, no individuals will be allowed to work or do business within Medziphema jurisdiction without registration. This registration also applied to all migrant labourers/construction labourers etc coming to Medziphema from outside. In this regard, the concerned contractor(s) who wish to bring in labourers, from outside shall be responsible for registration of his/her labourers. The office of the Medziphema Union of Labour, Trade & Commerce located beside Medziphema Post office will be opened every Friday from 10.00 AM till 3.00 PM for the same.  

DC Zunheboto calls meeting

Zunheboto, January 6 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto, Tridibesh Roy, IAS has informed all head of offices and school representatives listed below that there will be a meeting in DC's Conference Hall on January 8 at 11:00 am along with DPDB meeting to chalk out the programme for celebration of Republic Day 2018. In this regard, the DC has requested all officials to attend the meeting without fail.
