PHH rice to be distributed at Purana Bazaar today Dimapur, July 16 (MExN): All the Priority Household (PHH) Ration Card holders of Purana Bazaar, Dimapur have been informed that there will be a distribution of PHH rice on July 17 at the Council Hall, Purana Bazaar for the month of July. A press release from Ntongsi Ngullie, GB of Purana Bazaar village has informed all the ration card holders concerned to collect the rice according to time mentioned below: Model colony – 7:00 am to 10:00 am; Jorapukhri – 10:00 am to 11:00 am; New colony – 11:00 am to 12:00 pm; Mt View colony – 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm; Middle colony – 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm; High School colony – 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.   Dzüvürü to come under GIS mapping Kohima, July 16 (MExN): The declaration programme of the Geographic Information System Mapping of Dzüvürü (Porterlane) Colony, Kohima, the second smart colony of Nagaland state, will take place on July 19, 4:00 pm at Dzüvürü Colony Panchayat Hall, near South Point Market (Old Assam Oil Company). Introduction and demonstration of GIS mapping of the colony will be given by Dzüvürü (Porterlane) Panchayat Level Sanitation Committee convenor Er. Medoseho Sothu, while speech on behalf of NGIS& RS Centre will be given by Nounesenuo Iralu, senior analyst, NGIS & RC Centre, Planning and Coordination Department, Kohima. Greetings will be delivered by Dzüvürü (Porterlane) Panchayat chairman Thepfurokuo Chaya.   KDLSA conducts essay contest on fundamental rights & duties Kiphire, July 16 (MExN): Kiphire District Legal Services Authority (KDLSA) conducted essay competition on fundamental rights and duties at Eastern Saramati College, Pungro on July 14. The first prize was bagged by Lomathong, B.A 3rd semester student of Eastern Saramati College, second position was won by Sara J. Yim, B.A 3rd semester of Eastern Saramati College, and third position by Ngulila, B.A 3rd semester of Eastern Saramati College. The winners were adjudged by Samuel Thyug, Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Pungro. The prizes will be given away on August 15 during the Independence Day function. Altogether, 10 students participated in the competition.   IESDP stakeholders’ review meeting held Kohima, July 16 (MExN): A State level stakeholders’ review meeting on Integrated Eri Silk Development Project (IESDP) under NERTPS was held at conference hall of Directorate of Sericulture on July 14. Kenilo Apon (NCS), Secretary Sericulture, Government of Nagaland, while deliberating on the ongoing project in the district, which is for women empowerment and sustainable livelihood, encouraged the women beneficiaries to avail maximum benefit through various components of the programme. The meeting was chaired by Asangla Alinger, Joint Director, and keynote address was given by Imtisosang Ao, Director of Sericulture. A press release informed that 85 beneficiaries from four blocks of Kohima district and officers from the department attended the programme.   ABBNSS Nagaland state unit meet held Kohima, July 16 (MExN): Akhil Bhartiya Bharastachar Nirmulan Sangharsha Samiti (ABBNSS), Nagaland state unit held its meeting here today. The meeting deliberated on the organization set up in all the districts of Nagaland. ABBNSS Nagaland state unit president R. Sopu Angami presided over the meeting and exhorted the members to be vigilant in their respective districts. Vineizo Tsürho also spoke on the importance of nationalism and patriotism in the menace of curbing corruption. The meeting decided to fill up all the vacant posts in the state organization and members have been requested to furnish their bio-data. The main aim of the organization is to fight against the root cause of corruption as well as all forms of corruption existing in Indian society and maintenance of justice, according to a release from ABBNSS, Nagaland state unit general secretary Kereingukho Rino. It further informed that the National executive meeting of ABBNSS is scheduled to be held on September 17 at Latur, Maharashtra. The state unit along with cultural troupe will attend the same.
