Launching and distribution of Backhoe Loaders Dimapur, September 11 (MExN): The long felt need of the PWD (R&B) to own earth mover machineries to tackle the landslides/subsidence problems has been achieved by way of procuring the Backhoe Loaders to be maintained by the Department/Divisions of PWD (R&B). Accordingly, the launching and distribution programme of the same shall be held on September 12 at 11.00 am in the Agri Expo Ground. Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire, Minister PWD (R&D) Nagaland shall be the chief guest of the programme. This was informed in a press release issued by Chief Engineer, PWD(R&B), Kohima.   NSBSG award ceremony postponed Kohima, September 11 (MExN): The Nagaland State Bharat Scouts & Guides (NSBSG) Rajya Puraskar (Award) Ceremony-2017 which was earlier schedule on September 14 at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima is postponed and reschedule on September 16 at 11:30 am. John Tochimong, State Organising Commissioner (Scout) while expressing regret for the inconvenience caused requested all the invitees to be present to witness and grace the award rally on the rescheduled date. Also all the Rashtrapati and Rajya Puraskar Awardees, concerned school authority of the Awardees and DOC(S/G) are also informed that the Award Rally is postponed from September 16.   NPSU supports ultimatum served by KPASU Dimapur, September 11 (MExN): The Nagaland Polytechnic Students' Union (NPSU) has extended their support to the ultimatum served by KPASU to the state government for immediate release of the pending salary of fix-pay faculty members of Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu. “The apathy shown by the concerned authority in solving the problem raised by KPA is really unfortunate and therefore need immediate redressal,” the union stated in a press release issued by its President Hukiye Chishi. The NPSU expressed hope that the concerned authority will pay heed to this problem at the earliest to avoid further inconvenience.   ‘Bizhorn 2017’ on Sept 14-15 Dimapur, September 11 (MExN): The Department of Management Studies, ICFAI University Nagaland is organising its annual management festival ‘Bizhorn 2017’ on September 14 and 15 at the university campus, 6th mile Sovima Dimapur with the theme ‘Initiate, Interact, Integrate’ and ‘Exploring Excellence, Empowering Diligence’ as the motto. The inaugural function will be graced by Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire, Minister of Road & Bridges as the chief guest and Lezo Putsure, Director YouthNet as the guest of honour.
