Kiphire DPDB meeting Kiphire, April 29 (MExN): All the Kiphire DPDB members have been informed that the board meeting for the month of May will be held on May 5, 10:00 am in the DC's conference hall, Kiphire. PSU Union Assembly on May 7 Kohima, April 29 (MExN): The Pochury Students' Union (PSU) will hold its 2nd Union Assembly (2015-17) on May 7, 10:00 am at Conclave Hall, LCS building, Kohima. Therefore, the Union Assembly has requested all its federating units and subordinating bodies to attend the assembly, informed Thomas Pichurü, PSU. Hair cutting training in Zunheboto Zunheboto, April 29 (MExN): CAN Youth in association with Green Club Zunheboto will be conducting a free training on hair cutting (male) and hair dressing (female) at Zunheboto Town starting May 16 under Entrepreneurship & Skill Development Program (ESDP) and sponsored by Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). The training is aimed at promoting local youths for livelihood opportunities and also to create entrepreneurship through skills, according to a press release jointly issued by Green Club Zunheboto and CAN Youth. Any interested youth can contact the respective persons at the given number for registration on or before May 13. Kohima DPDB to award successful HSLC toppers Kohima, April 29 (DIPR): The ADC (Planning) & Member Secretary, DPDB, Kohima, Ketoho Luho has informed that the Board has decided to continue the programme to award HSLC toppers from the Government High Schools in Kohima district this year too. The DPDB will felicitate the HSLC toppers with cash and citation. The Kohima DPDB has been awarding the successful HSLC toppers from the Government High Schools in Kohima district since 2010. LSTTT celebrates Silver Jubilee Tuensang, April 29 (MExN): The Litem Sao Thangjam Tuensang Town (LSTTT) celebrated Silver Jubilee on April 14 at CBLT Resource Centre, Tuensang with Chubawati Chang, Project Director, DRDA as the main speaker. Pastor, Tuensang Town Baptist Lashoung S. Achila offered prayer, LSTTT President, Alemla delivered welcome address. K. Lolen, President LUTTT, C. Anungla, SDEO Shamator, Former General Secretary LSTTT, M. Arepla founding member and S. Chubala OSD to Higher Education Kohima delivered short speeches. Other highlight of the programme included release of Jubilee Souvenir by W Antimangyang, President CTS (Changsao Thangjam Setshang), special number from Dongching Yangmei Sao Thangjam Tuensang Town, and Yangpi Sao Thangjam Tuensang Town followed by jubilee feast. Free Ayush health camp Dimapur, April 29 (MExN): A team of ten doctors led by Dr. Seyiekhrietuo John, State Programme Officer (Ayush) conducted a free Ayush camp at Kijümetouma on April 15. Altogether, 100 patients were given treatment and free medicines were distributed, informed a press note from Kijümetouma Youth Organization President, Thepfupfhelie Kiekho and General Secretary, Yangulie Angami. The team also donated a computer set to the youth organization and further gave instructions to the teachers of GMS and Sub Centre staff at the village on the importance of Ayush medicine. Military civic action prog Dimapur, April 29 (MExN): 17 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter 5 Sector Assam Rifles constructed water supply scheme (Borewell) in Wokha and handed it over to village authorities with a view to improve water availability for the locals in the area. A press note stated that in another Op Sadbhavana project, 18 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter 6 Sector Assam Rifles constructed a kitchen for orphanage home (Christian Servanthood Ministry), Peren. The kitchen was formally inaugurated and handed over to the orphanage authorities by Colonel Vivek Puri, SM, Commandant,18 Assam Rifles AR  on April 20.
