Farewell prog for Phek DC today

Phek, February 17 (DIPR):
Farewell programme for Phek DC Neposo Theluo will be held on February 18 at DPDB Hall at 1 p.m. SDO (C) Phek, Hollohon Yepthomi will chair the function while invocation prayer will be pronounced by Sr. Pastor PTBC Rev. D.N. Soho. President Chakhesang Mothers Association Zaposhelu will deliver a speech on behalf of NGOs of Phek district while Accountant DC Office Phek Thepuchyi will speak on behalf of the clerical staff. ADC Chozuba, Polan John will also deliver a speech on behalf of the administrative officers. The outgoing and incoming DCs Phek will also speak during the farewell programme.

Medical camp organized at Sathazu Nawe village

Phek, February 17 (MExN):
111 BN BSF organized a medical camp at Sathazu Nawe village, covering the nearby villages Sathazu Nasa Phugwi, Sekruzu, Khutsami and Terhutsesemi village,  which are  located near  ‘F’ Coy of 111 BN BSF Satakha Nagaland on February 9. According to a press release, Sathazu Nawe village under Phek district is located in a very hilly and remote area. Though a PHC is available at Sathazu Nawe, the neighbouring villages have little or no access to medical facilities, the note said.  A total of 206 patients availed the free medical check-up.  Besides, canteen and ration items were also made available to the locals. Chairman, GBs and other villagers of Sathazu Nasa Phugwi, Sekruzu, Khutsami and Terhutsesemi village appreciated the activities of BSF, the release added.

Saakshar Bharat training on interpersonal media campaign

Kohima, February 17 (MExN):
Saakshar Bharat training on interpersonal media campaign will take place from January 18 to 21 here at Zonal Council Hall. Sentiyanger Imchen, IAS, commissioner & secretary health & family welfare & CEO will grace the inaugural function as the chief guest 10:00 AM. T. Imkonglemba Ao, IAS, commissioner & secretary school education & SCERT will chair the function. Topics to be covered during the four day long programme included disaster management and civil defence by Dr. Hovithal N. Sothu, state coordinator (DM Cell) ATI, electoral literacy by Vekho Vero, deputy chief election officer, interpersonal media campaign by Debajyoti Banik, SRC Tripura, preparation of NIOS exam i.e pre-exam, during exam and post exam activities by SLMA, financial literacy by Rajib Malla SRC Tripura, electoral literacy by Tanuj Sharma, disaster management by Abhijit Sarkar SRC Tripura etc. The valedictory session on February 21 at 12:00 noon will be graced by K. Phesao, director school education.

ANIEF general meeting on Feb 25

Kohima, February 17 (MExN):
The All Nagaland Industrial Entrepreneurs Federation (ANIEF) has convened its general meeting on February 25 (Tuesday) at 11:00 am at the Red Cross Complex Conference Hall, RR, Hill Kohima to discuss the latest position of the pending eases for the year 2007, 2008 & 2009 under transport subsidy and capital investment subsidy. The ANIEF president Povotso Lohe and general secretary Orenbomo Humtsoe in a press release expressed strong exception to the manner in which the State department of Industries & Commerce has resorted to another delay tactic of undertaking another round of re-verification of the pending cases of transport subsidy and capital investment subsidy particularly 20089-2009 batch on selective basis without any justification as published by ANIEF in local dailies recently. Therefore, all the ANIEF State office bearers, district representatives and all the beneficiary units of the pending cases from all over 11 districts are requested to attend this general meeting without fail. If any selected beneficiary representative fails to attend this meeting, their cases will not be taken care of and the Federation will not be held responsible.
 
Appeal to promote Naga Heritage Village

Kohima, February 17 (MExN):
All tribal hohos, NGOs, government departments, NITCCs, VDBs and private establishments are requested to collaborate with the Department of Tourism to promote Naga Heritage Village Kisama as a ‘hub.’ The Director of Tourism Purakhu Angami in public notice encouraged the concerned to avail Kisama for all events, meetings, conventions, seminars, camps, wedding planners, event organisers etc by utilizing the tourism facilities created and made available at this ethnic setting. This will not only augment the value of Kisama as a cultural activity centre but also transform the spot as a year round destination for people and tourists alike. All other existing formalities such as seeking permission to the Directorate of Tourism/ Bamboo Mission) Art & Culture/ Horticulture etc a nominal entry fees would still apply as this will also, in turn, generate revenue for the Government in whatever small way possible.
