KNO general session today

Dimapur, February 13 (MExN):
Kyong Nchumchio Okho (KNO) had convened a general session on February 14 at the residence of KNO Vice President Yanbemo Humtsoe, Lotha Colony Dimapur, at 2:00 pm. The session shall comprise of yearly review reports, annual plan and. Therefore, all the members of KNO are requested to attend the meeting with various agenda/project to be deliberated and taken up for the current year. Meanwhile the Executive councils and the assigned individual concern are requested to bring their reports and related information for review and deliberation. The members are also notified that screening and validation of its members should be re-scrutinized to authenticate its membership. Therefore, all the members are asked to attend positively, failing which disciplinary action shall be initiated against those members.

Dimapur Mission Agencies Fellowship meeting

The Dimapur Mission Agencies Fellowship meeting will be held on February 18 at Help International, Landmark PWD at 2:00 pm.  All the mission agencies and organizations working in Dimapur have been requested to attend the fellowship meeting without fail. Krishi Vasant of Nagpur 2014 webcast in Kohima

Kohima, February 13 (DIPR):
The inaugural programme for webcasting of February 11 and 12 Krishi Vasant of Nagpur 2014 was held on February 11 at DC’s conference hall, Kohima. Speaking as the guest of honour, Director of Agriculture & State Nodal Officer (ATMA), N. Tekatushi Ao said agriculture in the country and the State has moved ahead in the last fifty years. He stated that due to technological intervention, productivity has increased over the years, therefore encouraged all to make best use of those technologies for maximum benefit. He also asserted that the world has come to our doorstep and hence the seminar at Nagpur is being webcast at Kohima site for the welfare of the farmers. The Director also mentioned that ATMA Kohima and Mokokchung have already developed their own websites adding globalization has taken place due to information and communication technology. He urged upon one and all to be aware of emerging challenges and move ahead. The programme was chaired by DAO & PD (ATMA), Kohima, Nosezole. APPO, DAO Office, Kohima was the webcast interpreter.

KVC informs

Dimapur, February 13 (MExN):
The Kiyevi Village Council (KVC) has informed all concerned neighbouring villages to restrict within the village jurisdiction any activities such as hunting, farming, fishing or any developmental activities. KVC chairman Y Akato Zhimomi in a press release informed all individuals and group to abide with the resolution, which was passed on February 8. The chairman also added that council has the authority and responsibility to deal with any issues concerning Kiyevi Village as per the customary law.

Sensitization of PNDT held in Mkg

Mokokchung, February 13 (MExN):
Orientation on sensitization of pre-natal diagnosis and testing (PNDT) was held on February 12 at CMO’s Office Chamber Mokokchung. Private practitioner having ultrasound facility and Officials from the District health department attended the meeting. Dr. S.S.Akaba Longchar CMO in his welcome speech addressed the importance of the PNDTAct. He stated that sex determination should be strictly prohibited and it has to be displayed in the clinic. And Records of using examinations must be properly maintained. The resource person of the programme Mr. Mosem Longkumer (Advocate) explained on the legal aspect of the act. The meeting ended after a brief discussion with good response from the participant.

Registration and renewal of shops fees

Kohima, February 13 (DIPR):
The Government of Nagaland, Department of Labour and Employment Vide notification NO LAB-6/1/2013-14 dated 10th February 2014 has in exercise of the powers conferred under section 36 of the Nagaland Shops & Establishments Act, 1986; modified partially the fees for registration/ renewal of shops and establishment in the whole State of Nagaland as appended in Schedule-1 Part 1 & II and Schedule II, with effect from the date of issue of this notification. The modified Schedule of rates can be obtained from all DCs/ ADCs/ Assistant Labour Commissioner of Districts/ All Chairman of Municipal Councils/Town Councils and Office of the Joint Labour Commissioner Kohima Nagaland.

Second Round of IPPL from Feb 23

Mokokchung, February 13 (DIPR):
As per Government of India directive, the State of Nagaland will be conducting second round of IPPL (Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization) for children of 0 to 5 years from February 23 to 25. In this regard, a meeting of District Task Force (DTF) would be held on February 13 at DC office Chamber, Mokokchung at 11:00 am. Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Murohu Chotso has informed all DTF members to attend the meeting without fail.

SKH meeting

Dimapur, February 13 (MExN):
Sumi Kukami Hoho (SKH) has called for a general meeting of its executives and representatives from various areas on February 17 at its office at Zunheboto. Informing this in a release, SKH general secretary, Hukato Shohe has asked all concerned to attend the meeting positively.

Sumi hymnal book second edition

Dimapur, February 13 (MExN):
The Sumi hymnal book second edition with staff notation will be releasing on the March 2, 2014 Sunday morning at Sumi Baptist Church Dimapur. The project is the joint efforts of Sumi different denomination comprising SBAK Nito Mount, SBAK Aizuto, Sumi NCRC, SABAK Pughoboto and WSBAK Akuvuto and was sponsored by the Sumi Baptist Church Dimapur. The Sumi Baptist Convention has requested all the Sumi denominational leaders to attend on this Hymnal release day. Sumi Baptist Convention Director Rev. Khehovi Shohe in a press release informed that the Convention is also convening an emergency meeting of SBC Council on the March 1, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Sumi Baptist Church Dimapur where Sumi hymnal revision committee members are also requested to attend for prayer fellowship and to wind up the programme.
 
Trade test at ITI Phek

Phek, February 13 (DIPR):
The Trade Test under State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT) at Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Phek started from February 10 and will continue till February 15. All together 33 students were enrolled during the session 2013-14 in four Trades i.e Carpentry, Plumbering, Motor Mechanic and Hair and skin care.
