NPCC requests DCCs

Kohima, May 12 (MExN): In view of the NPCC’s demand being partially fulfilled by election authority through ordering re-poll in some polling stations, the NPCC has requested all DCCs to submit the names of counting agents to their respective AROs at the earliest. This was stated in a release issued by NPCC general secretary Medokul Sophie.

One held with Spasmo Proxyvon

Dimapur, May 12 (MExN): Dimapur West Police Station along with Mahila IR personnel on patrol duty seized 830 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon at LRC colony here on May 9. Addl. Superintendent of Police/ PRO Dimapur informed that the drug was recovered from a hand bag of a woman who was moving about suspiciously. According to the PRO, the arrested accused identified as Bimla Sarma of Tezu in Arunachal Pradesh is a habitual drug peddler. Police have registered a case for further investigation.

Kuzhalhu Zawe 16th
general session held


Kohima, May 12 (MExN): The Kuzhalhu Zawe held its 16th general session at Zuketsa on May 10 last under the theme “Vision 2025.” It also elected new team of office bearers for the tenure 2014-2017 with Mikha Lomi as president, vice president - Kedoutsolhi Wetsah, general secretary - Medo Chirha, assistant secretary - Wekulo Wezah, finance secretary - Neilo Koza, treasurer - Neithsulo Kapfo, publicity & information secretary - Kekhwelhilo Tara, cultural secretary- Vizakie Letro, assistant cultural secretary- David Lasuh, women coordinators - Seno Tsuhah, Neikolo-u Mero and Kewekolo-u Ritse. The Kuzhalhu Zawe has thanked parliamentary secretary for horticulture Neiba Kronu for the concern towards Kuzhalhu Zawe. It also thanked resource persons Lhiweshelo Mero, Kewekhape Therie, Neikhrolo Khalo and Vetetso Lasuh.

ATKK formed

Dimapur, May 12 (MExN): The theological fellowship of Aotsakilimi village “Aotsakilimi Theology Kiphimi Kuposhukulu” (ATKK) was formed on May 8 in a joint meeting of its members working in different churches and those pursing theological education in different seminaries across the nation. Information secretary of ATKK informed in a press release that ATKK has 33 members and has elected the following office bearers for the term 2014-16: President- Nikhuyi Achumi, Pastor, Valley View Baptist Church; Secretary- Khezheto Achumi, Associate Pastor, Thilixu Baptist Church; Treasurer- Atoli Achumi, Women Leader, NCRC Doyapur Road; Information Secretary- Akuto Achumi, Assistant Pastor, Sumi Baptist Church Kohima; Advisors- Executives of Aotsakilimi Union Dimapur, Kohima, and Zunheboto. 16th Pfutsero A/C NPF condoles

Pfutsero, May 12 (MExN): The 16th Pfutsero A/C NPF has expressed profound sadness at the demise of Wepenyi Kronu, party elder and father of its Pfutsero Unit general secretary Visatso Kronu in Kohima on May 11. In his death, the party has lost a fatherly figure, stated the party in a condolence message. All the rank and file of the party of Pfutsero NPF further paid respect to the departed soul and prayed that the Almighty God grant him eternal peace and comfort his loved ones with his grace.
