SAKK fresher’s day in Dimapur

DIMAPUR, MAY 17 (MExN):
Sumi Aphuyemi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SAKK) on Saturday held its Fresher’s Day cum Felicitation programme at Town Hall, Dimapur with SDEO Dimapur, S. Atomi Swu as the chief guest. Atomi spoke on the importance of time management in a student’s life and said that the judicious use of time will prove crucial to them. Stating that they were the future of the society, Atomi encouraged the students to work hard and become somebody whose services could be availed by the society. During the programme, the SAKK felicitated freshers and meritorious students of HSLC and HSSLC.  Dimapur Sumi Student’s Union president, Hutoshe Kits also exhorted the gathering while Elika Swu, Taxes Inspector, NPSC 2014 shared her tips for success in the competitive exam.

Int'l AIDS candlelight memorial service

Kohima, May 17 (MExN):
The International AIDS Candlelight Memorial Service will take place on May 18 at 2:00 PM at NMA Cradle Ridge, Seithogei, Kohima. Abei-ü Meru, president Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) will grace the occasion as the guest speaker. A minute of silence will be observed followed by lighting of candles to mark the occasion.

Naga Gaon Colony Council resolves

Dimapur, May 17 (MExN):
The Naga Gaon Colony Council (NGCC) conducted an executive meeting at the Council treasurer’s residence on May 14, 2014. During the meeting, the house unanimously resolved that any landowner under the jurisdiction of the Naga Gaon Colony Council should not sell any land without the knowledge of the Council. The house also resolved that no individual should buy/purchase land within the jurisdiction of the Colony without the knowledge of the Council. While informing this in a press release, NGCC chairman Mhashevikho Zao and secretary Akangyanger stated, “If any dispute or issues related to land matter arises in the future, the Council will not be held responsible.”

Multi disciplinary training prog held

Wokha, May 17 (MExN):
KVK (ICAR), Wokha conducted a one-day multi disciplinary training programme for extension personnel at fishery conference hall Wokha on May 15. Khumdemo Ezung Programme cordinator  (i/c) emphasis on formation and management of CIGs and training need of farmers, Megokhono  SMS (Horticulture) shared on the topic Citrus rejuvenation  and  Mhalo, SMS ( Extension ) spoke on  market led extension. Altogether 20 extension personal from Agri allied and ATMA officials attended the training programme.
