Noklak SDPDB meeting held
Noklak, January 16 (DIPR): The Noklak SDPDB meeting for the month of January was held at KTC Hall, Noklak on January 15. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Noklak, Thsuvishie Phoji, chaired the meeting. The meeting discussed about the work distribution for the forthcoming Republic Day celebration. The chairman urged members to be sincere in their duties and also be present during the State Assembly election.
Liquor worth Rs. 32 lakhs seized
Kohima, January 16 (MExN): Troops of the 41 Assam Rifles along with a police representative conducted a check at a mobile check post in Lalmati on January 15 and recovered liquor worth Rs. 32 lakhs from a truck. Three persons identified as Apik Singh, 28 years, Swoto, 18, and Arif, 24, have been arrested for carrying the illegal liquor consisting of 1083 cases of Kingfisher beer. The three accused along with the recovered items were handed over to Zubza Police Station for further investigation.
Phek DPDB meeting held
Phek, January 16 (DIPR): The monthly Phek DPDB meeting was held on January 16 at DPDB Hall, Phek. The meeting was chaired by Chairman, Phek DPDB and Advisor, Social Welfare, Chotisuh Sazo. SDO (Civil) Phek, Neilezo Tep reviewed the last meeting minutes. The newly posted officers were also introduced to the house. Chairman, Chotisuh Sazo delivering New Year greetings, urged the members to be sincere in their works. He also asked officers to be present at their places of postings for the convenience of people. Food & Civil Supplies Department and Sports Department, Phek gave reports of their departmental activities. The next DPDB meeting will be held on February 9. The Department of Forest and DEF (SP) Department, Phek will give reports of their departmental activities in the next meeting.
NE Kisan Mela from January 22
Dimapur, January 16 (MExN): The North East Kisan Mela will be held at the Central Institute of Horticulture, Nagaland in Medziphema from January 22 to 23. The two day mela will be inaugurated by Jalaj Srivastava, IAS, Additional Secretary (Hort), DAC&FW, Govt of India, as chief guest. Highlights of the inaugural day include visit to stalls by the chief guest and dignitaries, lighting of lamp and release of CIH publication.
