Passes for 5th session of NLA from Jan 16

Kohima, January 14 (MExN): In view of the fifth session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) to be held on January 17, the car passes and the official gallery passes will be issued from January 16 onwards. As per a press release issued by Dr PJ Antony, Secretary NLA, Kohima, Ministers and AHODs are to collect car passes and gallery passes from the Special Secretary (Home), Civil Secretariat, Nagaland, Kohima. Advisors, MLAs, PS/PA and other department officials are requested to collect car passes from the reception counter gate No-II, NLA, Secretariat. HODs and the Media representatives are to collect car passes from the reception counter, gate no-I, NLA Secretariat.

 

Reorientation of urban ASHAs and MAS in Mkg  

Mokokchung, January 14 (MExN): The reorientation of urban ASHAs and Mahila Arogya Samiti (MAS) at ward level under NUHM Mokokchung was concluded on January 14. The programme started batch wise on August 29, 2019 covering all the 18 wards of Mokokchung. A press release from the Chief Medical Office stated that the resource person were Sentirenla, Consultant NUHM and Watisenla, DCM. The participants were trained on the activities, roles and responsibilities of ASHAs and MAS.
The roles of ASHA are to create awareness and provide information to the community on determinants of health, existing health services and timely utilisation. The ASHA will fulfil her role through five activities i.e. home visits, attending to Urban Health and Nutrition Day (UHND) and supporting outreach activities, visits to health facilities, promotion of MAS and Maintenance of records. MAS, the local women’s collective are expected to take collective action on issues related to Health, Nutrition, Water sanitation and its social determinants at ward level. They were also trained on the new MCP Card and maintenance of various records and registers.

 

Prayer meeting for Chakhesang leaders 

Kohima January 14 (MExN): The Council of Chakhesang Christian Revival Churches (CCCRC) informed that a prayer meeting for Chakhesang leaders will be held from January 17 to 19 at Mission Centre, Chetheba under Phek district. In this regard, Rev. Dr. Vevozo Khamo, executive secretary, CCCRC extended invitation to all the Chakhesang politicians, Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO), Chakhesang Mothers Association (CMA), Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU), Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF), National workers, church leaders and all prayer house members to the meet.  “The programme is accordance to the divine revelation and all leaders are to attend and receive New Year blessing especially on January 19 morning service programme,” a release received here stated.

 

E-Roll Observer to visit Kiphire on January 16 

Kiphire, January 14 (MExN): DC & District Election Officer, Kiphire will hold a joint Meeting of all the Political parties and Administrative Officers on January 16 at 11:00 am in the office of the Deputy Commissioner's DPDB hall, Kiphire. During his visit, Electoral Roll Observer and Commissioner & Secretary, Works & Housing, Rovilatuo Mor, IAS will interact with the political parties and Administrative Officers pertaining to the ongoing special Summary Revision of photo Electoral Tolls with reference to January 1, 2020 as the Qualifying date. DC & District Election officer, Kiphire has informed all the presidents of different political parties and concerned officials to attend the meeting without fail.
