DC Mon informs 

Mon, January 21 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner, Mon Thavaseelan K, IAS, in a circular, has informed all the interested unemployed youth of Mon district that there will be an awareness programme and spot registration for undergoing training for cutting and tailoring, driving and masonry on January 22 at Conference Hall of the Konyak Union Office from 11:00 am onwards. The training is scheduled to be held at Skill Training Centre, Mon Town under PMKVY.

 

Weapon equipments display 

Kohima, January 21 (MExN): The Zakhama Battalion is conducting a weapon equipments display at Kohima Local Ground on January 22. The Battalion will be displaying modern weapons of Indian army, new generation equipment, military band and information cell on how to join Indian Army will also be set up for the public. In this connection, all the dynamic youth of Nagaland, teachers, children and parents have been invited to come and witness the display.

 

Workshop on ‘women capacity development’

Kohima, January 21 (MExN): The department of Industries & Commerce in collaboration with Startup India, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Department for Promotion of Industries & Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India will be organizing two day workshop on ‘Women Capacity Development’ on January 22 and 23 at SIRD conference hall, Thizama road, near new secretariat complex, Kohima. Legal and compliance, IP and Patent Protection, Financial Management and Marketing strategy are some of the highlights of the two-day session.
 

DC Mkg informs on R-Day function
 

Mokokchung, January 21 (MExN): In view of the upcoming Republic Day celebration on January 26, Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir has informed all the government servants posted within Mokokchung town to attend the function without fail. The programme will commence at the usual time of 8:40 am at Imkongmeren Sports Complex. 
All the District Headsof Offices have been directed to take the attendance of their respective staff and submit the same to the office of the Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung for onward submission to the government for necessary action. All the village council members and GBs union of Ungma, Mokokchung, Chuchuyimpang and Khensa villages, the GBs of Mokokchung town and the functionaries of all the 18 wards and the general public of Mokokchung town have been requested to attend the function.
 

‘CAN Youth’ is now ‘Can Youth’

Dimapur, January 21 (MExN): All general public, NGOs, civil societies and government departments are informed that Can Youth in its general body meeting held on January 7 at its office resolved to change the nomenclature of ‘CAN Youth’ as ‘Can Youth’ as per the power conferred to general body by the constitution of Can Youth. “From the day of publication of this information the nomenclature of ‘CAN Youth’ shall be known, called and identified as Can Youth for all intent and purposes,” Can Youth, Chief Functionary, Jenpu Rongmei stated in a press release. The meeting also resolved to change the logo in the next board member meeting.

 

Free screening of children films

Dimapur, January 21 (MExN): Can Youth conducted free screening of children films through LCD Projector at Veterinary Colony, Burma Camp, Dimapur on January 19. Can Youth Project Coordinator, Grace Chishi in a press release informed that the organisation has been screening movies from January 12 supported by Children’s Film Society, India (CFSI) an autonomous body under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India. The objective is to provide the children healthy and wholesome infotainment and to enhance their knowledge broaden their perspective and help shaping them into future citizens of modern India.  The screening of films is based on the motto ‘Promoting Every Child’s Rights to Entertainment’. Can Youth will be screening in selected colonies, villages, schools and orphanage homes in Dimapur district and will be covered within two months.
