AH and Vety conduct ASCAD Camp

Kohima, September 11 (MExN): The Department of AH & Veterinary Services, Kohima conducted ASCAD Camp 2017-18 for Kohima Block on September 10 led by Dr. Akangnungla. During the camp, the keynote address was delivered by Dr. Joseph M. Angami, Dy. CVO, Kohima who emphasized on socio-economic upliftment of rural economy through Livestock and Poultry farming. In a press note stated that the resource persons Dr. Khrisamhazo George Rhetso and Dr. Elizabeth Yhome deliberated on ‘Economically Important Diseases, FMD, SF, RD etc. and care and management of Livestock and Poultry.’ A total of 30 progressive livestock farmers from three villages of Kohima block attended the training. The programme winded up with a vote of thanks by Dr. Pusazonu Chüsi.

 

BJP appoint members to vacant posts

Dimapur, September 11 (MExN): Nagaland State BJP Morcha President(s) in consultation with the President and Organisation Secretary has appointed state Morcha office bearers to the various vacant posts with effect from September 4. In the State morcha, Imkongtula Longchar, Nokham Phom, James Akham M and Limatemsu Keor was appointed to general secretary and vice presidents and secretary respectively. While in minority morcha Sunil Thakur was appointed as Vice President. In the mahila morcha N. Phang-e Phom was also appointed Vice President. In the kishan morcha, Akum S Walling Shihwang Konya, Henato Awomi, Mhathung Shitio and T. Mirhu were also appointed to various posts.

 

DDEO Dimapur informs
on service extension

Dimapur, September 11 (MExN): The Deputy District Education Officer, Dimapur, R. Amongla Jamir has informed all the Adhoc/Contingency/Fixed/Contract employees under the establishment of DEO, Dimapur to submit personal application for service extension along with the latest extension order/performance certificate from the concerned H/M and VEC Chairman and appointment order (Xerox) for onwards submission to the DSE, Kohima for the year 2019. The DEO Dimapur informed in a press release that the last date of submission is October 15.

 

Free heart disease screening at Dimapur

Dimapur, September 11 (MExN): Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), NHM in collaboration with Shija Hospitals and Research Institute, Imphal is conducting a free heart disease screening for children within the age group 0-18 years at District Hospitals Dimapur on September 29. Enquiries can be brought to the RBSK Coordinator at 9856899288, Dr Z Kheshito Zhimo, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Dimapur informed in a press release.

 

GEUPV conducts sanitation drive at Pungro

Dimapur, September 11 (MExN): The Government Employees Union Pungro Village (GEUPV) conducted the annual sanitation drives in and around the village on September 8. During the sanitation drive, the member also constructed essential development within the village which was done through donations from union members in cash and kind. The union officials expressed gratitude to all the members for their participation.

 

Libra Consultancy conducts free seminar

Dimapur, September 11 (MExN): The India Northeast Tribal Community Welfare Society (INTCWS) under its education wing Libra Consultancy conducted an annual free career-oriented educational seminar for higher secondary science students of Immanuel College on September 7. Resource Person Ruth deliberated on the importance of career planning at this crucial stage of schooling. Subject combinations, interests, aptitudes, career options including latest trends were highlighted, Sentimongla, Info Secretary, INTCWS informed in a press release. She stressed on the need to develop discipline, sincerity and professionalism.

 

Meeting for MR campaign held at Peren

Peren, September 11 (MExN): District Task Force meeting for Measles Rubella Campaign was held on September 11 at DC’s Conference hall New DC complex Peren with DC Peren, S. Tainiu as chairperson. Power point presentation on MR Campaign was presented by Dr. M. Nukshisangla (DPO RCH/UIP) and malaria Elimination programme review by Dr. K. Limatula (DVBO NVBDVP). Vote of thanks was given by Dr. D. Hangsing CMO Peren.

 

Phek DPDB meeting held

Phek, September 11 (MExN): The monthly meeting of Phek District Planning and Development (DPDB) board was held on September 10 at DPDB Hall Phek under the chairmanship of ADC, Phek, Avelu Ruho After review of the last meeting minutes, the house deliberated on various agenda including recommendation of grand-in-aid to Chokri Baptist School, Chetheba, Tewelhi MedeoTyrannus Hr Sec School, Pfutsero and constituted of DPDB core committee. ADC Chozuba, Japhet Woch and SDO (C) Pfutsero gave PowerPoint presentations while DRDA and Town Council Phek were entrusted to present their Departmental activities in the next meeting.

 

NSDA conducts awareness prog

Kohima, September 11 (MExN): The Nagaland State Designated Agency (Electrical Inspectorate, Kohima) conducted an awareness programme under the banner of Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) GoI at GHSS Singrijan on September 7. In a press release the Principal GHSS Singrijan stated that the programme was to make the students aware about energy conservation and its impact on day to day activities and its relation to global warming. I.V. Chishi, Chief Electrical Inspector welcomed the students and faculty by giving a brief insight on energy conservation. Resource person N. Bose from Kolkata gave a power point presentation on the topic.
