AR participates in capacity building workshop in Kiphire

Kiphire, February 26 (MExN): Kiphire Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) participated in national level two-day capacity building workshop organised by Zisaji Presidency College at Kiphire town on February 26. 

Contributing towards the initiative of creating livelihood opportunities for educated youths from remote parts of Nagaland, a lecture-cum-presentation was conducted on the topic of ‘Career in Armed Forces,’ a press release from the HQ IGAR (N).

The event witnessed active participation by 120 Students of Zisaji Presidency College who were enthusiastic and elated to know about career prospects in Indian Armed Forces, it added.

Unidentified body recovered in Dimapur

Dimapur, February 26 (MExN): Dimapur Police on Friday recovered an unidentified body of a non-Naga male from the railway track near 256/8 Kms towards Rangapahar. 

According to a press release from the ADCP/PRO, the victim, aged approximately 50-55 years, is suspected of being run over by a moving train.

All legal formalities were conducted and the body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur Morgue for post mortem examination/identification.

The ADCP/PRO has requested claimants/ relatives/ friends of the deceased to contact the Officer-in-Charge, GRPS, Dimapur.
