DRDA Mon calls off strike

Mon, March 2 (MExN): The District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Mon has called off the strike which began on February 27 against the nonpayment of salary. A press release from Manching Konyak, Deputy Project Officer, DRDA Mon stated the positive response received from the department and normal functioning of the office will resume from Monday, March 4.

ANTA yearly registration till May 1

Kohima, March 2 (MExN): ANTA headquarters has notified that the yearly ANTA registrations have started from March 1 and will close on May 1. All Owners and drivers are requested to register during the said period after which actions will be initiated against all erring taxis. It has also notified all unregistered new taxis to refrain from taxi operations until all valid permits and registrations processes are completed. A press release issued by Viba Solo, ANTA President state that failure to comply with ANTA norms will invite official penalties.

DC Tuensang orders

Tuensang, March 2 (MExN): The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang, Mekala Chaitanya Prasad in an order on March 2 stated the postponement of the following orders until further notice: Screening Test for DBs (Fresh), Computer Practical for LDA (Fresh), Oral interview for LDA (Fresh), Oral interview for DBs (Fresh) and Scrutiny for LDA/DBs/Driver/Gr-IV (In-service). The order however informed however that the result of LDA cum Computer Assistant exam held on 2nd March will be declared on March 5.

Excise dept seizes massive amount of assorted liquor

Dimapur, March 2 (MExN): The Excise Mobile Squad Unit led by Inspectors Hevito, Ongsham and Limatola while performing prohibition duty in and around Dimapur on March 1seized a total of 1588 bottles of assorted liquor from several shops. All the accused were charged under relevant section of the NLTP Act and the seized articles were deposited at the Unit Malkhana for destruction. The Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition (MS) Dimapur, Nagaland Khevito S Swu, in a press release warned those involved in the illegal business of selling liquor and anyone caught will be sternly dealt with as per the provisions of the law.

KSCDL CEO informs

Kohima, Mar 2 (MExN): In pursuance of the ongoing works for “Redevelopment of Old Assembly Secretariat Area Phase-I” in Kohima, taken up under Smart City Scheme, the public have been requested not to park their vehicle within the premises of the Old Assembly Secretariat Compound. “This is necessitated to give a free passage for the heavy machineries to ply and not hamper the timeline for completion of the project,” according to a press release issued by Kovi Meyase, Chief Executive Officer, Kohima Smart City Development Limited. He requested all to comply with this notice without any delay, “lest the vehicles are towed away by appropriate authority at the expense of the vehicle owners.”

PM-KISAN launched at Pughoboto

Zunheboto, March 2 (MExN): The launching programme of PM-KISAN (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi) under Pughoboto Sub-Division was conducted by SDAO office on February 25 with SDO (Civil) Pughoboto, Tiayanger as the special guest. According to DIPR report, Tiayanger encouraged the farmers to take advantage of the scheme to improve their farming practices thereby uplifting their income. He hoped that through this programme, the farmers of Pughoboto will increase their production and productivity in agri and allied activities. The SDO also encouraged the farmers to produce in quantity for marketable surplus. Earlier key note address was delivered by Myanthung Patton, SDAO who briefed the farmers that this scheme was launched by the central government for the small and marginal farmers who will be getting Rs 6000 a year in three installments, mainly for purchase of seeds and other inputs.
