FGN Ministry of Rali Wali Affairs on illegal taxations

Kohima, March 21 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) Ministry of Rali Wali Affairs has issued a statement concerning the unauthorized collection of illegal taxations by using the forged printed receipt challan on behalf of the Federal Government by a “gang of imposters.” The Ministry of Rali Wali Affairs/MIP in a press release, stated that the situation has created an “extreme challenge to the government to nab and control those criminal-minded to a total halt.” The release also stated that in this regard, the Dimapur Town Command under 6th Brigade, Naga Army “arrested a ring leader, Ashika Achumi who has been thoroughly investigated.” Hence the FGN reminded and requested all types of taxpayers “not to entertain any financial transactions/taxations before ascertaining the genuineness from the concerned government authorities.”

DEO Z’boto notifies on pre-matric scholarship

Zunheboto, March 21 (MExN): The District Education Officer (DEO), Zunheboto has informed all beneficiaries under Zunheboto district who have applied for Pre-Matric Scholarship for Schedule Tribe (PMS-ST) Class 9 and 10 during 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 and could not credit their Scholarship amount into their personal accounts due to dormant/inactive or incorrect details given by students, will receive their amounts from DEO Zunheboto office. In this regard, the DEO in a press release has asked concerned beneficiaries to come and check the back-log along with a photo copy of their bank pass book, first page and mark sheet within March 25 to April 30. Further claim shall not be entertained after the lapse of the time given.

Mokokchung, March 21 (MExN): Lipokzulu, a possible candidate to the 26 Aonglenden AC bye election has withdrawn his candidature for the upcoming election. In a press release, Lipokzulu expressed gratitude to all those people who have rendered their support.

Meet for PMEGP 2014–17 beneficiaries, Wokha

Wokha, March 21 (MExN): Achumbemo Seasonal Convener, New Colony, Wokha Town has informed all the beneficiaries of PMEGP 2014 – 17, Bank of Baroda, who are listed in the ongoing court case that there will be an emergency meeting on March 22, 10:30 am at Tsatheo Mozhui Hotel (Fast Food Stall) below DC Office Wokha. All are requested to attend the meeting without fail. The release further informed that absentees will be dropped out of the list.

Tsungiki civil bodies flay illegal activities

Wokha, March 21 (MExN): Tsungiki Village Council (TVC) Tsungiki Students’ Union (TSU) and Tsungiki Youth Organisation (TYO) has strongly condemned the illegal activities by certain individual(s)/union(s) disturbing the progress of work at the ongoing Bridge construction over the Doyang river along the Wokha-Mokokchung National Highway. A press release issued by the three Organisations called upon all concerned citizens “to develop a sense of oneness and to think and strive for the good of our society.”
