Nagaland State TB Cell to observe World TB Day

Kohima, March 22 (MExN): Nagaland State TB Cell will be observing World TB Day with the theme “It’s Time “on March 24 at Rivenburgs Memorial Chapel, Mission Compound, Kohima at 11:30 am along with Student’s Christian Fellowship. IEC, State TB Cell (RNTCP) in a press release informed that awareness programme on Tuberculosis (TB) and IEC materials will be distributed during the event.


An unidentified deceased body found

Dimapur, March 22 (MExN): One unidentified male non-local deceased body was found beside Traffic Control Zone – I, Dimapur on March 22. A press release from ADC of Police/PRO, Dimapur stated that after conducting all legal formalities, the deceased was shifted to Civil Hospital Morgue for Post mortem examination and identification. The deceased was wearing white colored jacket, pink colored sweater, olive green long pant and hunting boots.


CSU condemns act against a minor girl

Mon, March 22 (MExN): The Chi Students’ Union (CSU) today condemned the alleged molestation of a minor girl by two individuals on March 16. CSU President, C Pangkhah and Action Secretary, B Honshong in a press release stated that the two individuals were “caught red handed” by volunteers of CSU while “molesting a minor girl from Chi-Guching village at the village proximity in the midst of many passerby.” Condemning “such an uncivilized and unhealthy act,” which is “against law and against all humanity,” the union “strongly warned of stern action against any individual(s) found indulging in any such anti-social activities within its jurisdiction in the near future defaming and tarnishing the good image of the village.” The release added that the two accused were released on March 17 on “humanitarian ground after questioning and signing a bond agreement not to repeat the same.” The union further wished a speedy recovery to the victim from the physical and mental trauma.
