Dimapur dist level science seminar on November 22

Dimapur, November 10 (MExN): The Dimapur District Education Officer has informed all government and private schools under its establishment, that the District Level Science Seminar 2021 will be conducted virtually on November 22. Stating that the topic for the seminar would be ‘Boosting Immunity- the need of the hour: Prospects & Challenges,’ the DEO directed all the interested schools to contact the number 7005537286 for further information, on or before November 17. 

NPF Minority Wing greets

Dimapur, November 10 (MExN): The NPF Minority Wing, Central has extended Chhath Puja greetings and best wishes to the Bhojpuri and Bihari community people living in Nagaland and neighbouring areas.
Chhath Puja, the worship of the Sun God, is a major festival of the Bhojpuri and Bihari Hindu communities. May it shower blessings upon all and bring prosperity, peace and tranquility, the Minority Wing’s president Bishnu Bhattacharjee and general secretary Roshan Biswakarma stated on behalf of their colleagues in a press release on Wednesday. 

Naga Club’s annual meeting on November 13

Kohima, November 10 (MExN): The Annual General meeting of the Naga Club (NC) is all set to be held on November 13 at AMK building conference hall. According to a press release issued by NC President Ariyi Nienu, the daylong meeting would feature commissioning of Naga Club Monolith at Lavagei, Jotsoma, exhortation from DC Advisor Niketu Iralu, release of NC Souvenir, installation of new office bearers, and discussion on strengthening the role of Nag Club, among others.

NSCN (IM) condoles

Dimapur, November 10 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has mourned the demise of Colonel Abraham Keitang, MM (Military Medal), the incumbent Commanding Officer (CO) of Ashiho Chaomai (AC) Battalion, Naga Army, who passed away on November 10 after a prolonged illness. Hailing from Pushing village under Wung Tangkhul Region (WTR), late Keitang enrolled in the Naga national service on November 1, 1987, according to a statement from the group’s MIP.  It said that the deceased Keitang served the Naga nation with unwavering patriotism until his demise. “The Longvibu of the Naga Army has bestowed upon him posthumously the rank of Brigadier on the November 10, 2021, in recognition of his service to the Naga nation,” the MIP stated. Conveying condolences to the bereaved family members, the NSCN (IM) prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
