One-day workshop on MuDSM

Dimapur, May 18 (MExN): A one-day workshop programme on Municipal Demand Side Management (MuDSM) has been organized by the Electrical Inspectorate Department, Government of Nagaland on May 24 at Hotel Europa Inn, Golaghat Road, Dimapur from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Moa Sangtam, Administrator, Dimapur Municipal Council in a press release has informed all Chairmen/GBs under Dimapur Municipality to attend the said workshop.


KPC achieves milestone : NDPP

Dimapur, May 18 (MExN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) stated that Kohima Press Club (KPC) has achieved a milestone today when Yhoshü was elected unanimously to the prestigious post of the premier Press Club of the State. A press release issued by NDPP Media & Communication Committee stated this is the first time in its 20-year-old history that a woman is heading the Club. “A dedicated and sincere journalist, Yhoshü is a widely appreciated pen-pusher who also contributes to renowned national periodicals,” the release added. The NDPP wished her and her colleagues the best in their endeavors and placed on record its fervent belief that the new team shall continue the “recognized tradition of carrying high the banner of free and unbiased journalism that KPC is known for.”


SAYO mass social work at Dzükou valley

Kohima, May 18 (MExN): The Southern Angami Youth Organisation (SAYO) will be organising a mass social work at Dzükou Valley from May 21 to 23. SAYO General Secretary, Vidukho Kintso in a press release stated around 150 volunteers from Southern Angami village will be engaged for clearing the valley for disposing of non-degradable waste and re-emphasizing of proper waste management in the valley. After the social work, using of plastic will be strictly prohibited and littering of the valley will be seriously checked and dealt with, the release informed. Therefore, SAYO has appealed to the visitors not to litter the area with plastic or kinds of non-degradable waste that will hamper the environment. The Organisation through this, has thus declared Dziikou Valley as “Plastic Free Zone” to preserve and protect the natural beauty of the valley and the environment.


1st NPPNECC Conference in Shillong

Dimapur, May 18 (MExN): The First Conference of the National People’s Party – North East Coordination Committee (NPPNECC) will be held in Shillong on June 8. In a press release, DS Malai, General Secretary, NPPNECC stated Dr DD Lapang National Vice-President and Chairman, NPPNECC convened a meeting of the NECC official on May 16 at Shillong for the preparation of the said Conference. Twelve members attended where Chairman Dr DD Lapang chaired the official meeting. The members explored all possible ways and means to make the Conference successful. Discussions were made on the Agenda of the Conference to include urgent and vital burring issues prevailing in the present situation, to strengthen Party Organization, Women’s Wing and Youth’s Wing were also included. The release further requested State Units to send to the office of the NPPNECC or the Chairman of Organizing Cum Reception Committee for all suggestion and matters which they want to be included in the Agenda.


RSUD inform students to submit documents

Dimapur, May 18 (MExN): The Rongmei Students’ Union Dimapur (RSUD) has wished all the successful Rongmei students of the NBSE and CBSE exam of both HSLC and HSSLC 2019 a bright career in their future endeavor. Meanwhile, the Union in a press release also informed all the successful students and their parents to submit the photo copy of Mark sheet and Admit Card to the concerned Education Secretary (8014568462). All the concerned parents of the passed out students are asked to submit the documents on or before May 28.
