India Missions Summit to conclude today

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 1 (MExN): The annual general meeting-cum-India Missions Summit of the India Missions Association (IMA) will conclude on September 1. The conclave, which started on August 31, is being hosted by the Ao Baptist Church Diphupar, Dimapur. Sunday’s programme will begin with Bible Study at 8:00am. It will be followed by a series of sessions, including the Sunday devotional service, concluding with the final session titled ‘Celebrations of Missions’ in the evening. Dr. Prabhu Singh, SAIACS will be the main speaker of the evening session. he will speak on the topic – For such a time as this.

Purana Bazaar residents appeal for drainage construction

Dimapur, September 1 (MExN): The residents of Purana Bazaar ‘B’ Village have appealed concerned authorities to look into the problem of incessant flood occurrence. A release from Viwoto Yeptho, GB, Purana Bazaar ‘B’ Village stated that “Prior to the year 2008, Purana Bazaar ‘B’ Village had never encountered flood problems within its jurisdiction. However, during 2007-08 when the Airport Drainage was constructed from Aoyimti to Padumpukhuri as phase I and II, flood became an annual disaster in Purana Bazaar B.” stating that residents have experienced flood for the sixth time and village authorities had written to the concerned authorities on several occasions for relief and construction of drainage within the village but to no avail. “Inspection and alignment to construct drainage has been undertaken but works have not started yet,” it said. The Purana Bazaar ‘B’ Village has, therefore, appealed concerned authorities to look into the matter urgently to salvage the sufferings of the citizens.

DSSATA on 7th ROP undertaking

Dimapur, September 1 (MExN): Dimapur SSA Teachers Association (DSSATA) 2010 & 2013 batch has informed that as per the requirements laid down by the Directorate of School Education for processing the 7th ROP, members have been asked to fill up the undertaking in the format given and submit it at Dumplings, Naro ki, Purana Bazar and Tyre workshop, Opp. Taxi stand, Chumukedima Bazaar. The last date for submission is September 5, Nungshimongla Pongen, General Secretary, DSSATA in a release informed. It further informed that any member failing to submit the undertaking, will have to do the necessary by themselves.
