Guv greets on the occasion of Janmashtami

Kohima, September 2 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya has extended greeting and good wishes to the people of Nagaland, particularly to the Hindu community on the occasion of Janmashtami which marks the birth of Lord Krishna. The Governor, called on all to strive and build a world free from malice and full of brotherhood and compassion. He said “Lord Krishna’s noble message of righteous conduct and action should inspire each and every one so as to strengthen the moral foundations of the society and strive selflessly to take the country to new heights,” PRO to Governor in a release said. Governor Acharya further hoped and prayed that the occasion of Janmashtami bring amity, harmony, prosperity and happiness in our lives.

 

Rs 5 lakh raised through online for CM Relief Fund

Kohima, September 2 (MExN): An amount of Rs. 5 lakh have been raised so far though the online link that was shared on September 1, 2018 for contributions to the Chief Minister Relief Fund. DGC informs on Exam Form fill-up

Dimapur, September 2 (MExN): Principal, Dimapur Government College has informed all repeaters and students having backlog in BA 1st, 3rd and 5th semester that the NU Examination Form filling up is on September 6, 7 and 10 respectively. It has further been informed that Exam Form will be issued for all semesters on September 5. Students have been asked to bring a photocopy of Admit card and Mark sheet of relevant semester.

 

Phek DC informs applicants of PMEGP

Phek, September 2 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner, Phek, Orenthung Lotha, NCS has informed all the applicants who have applied for Prime Minister Employment Generation Program (PMEGP) scheme for the year 2018-19 that the interview date has been scheduled on September 13 for DIC and September 14 for NKVIB at 10.00 am onwards at the DC’s conference hall, Phek. Therefore, the DC has informed all the applicants to come along with their original documents in support of their candidature. No separate calling letter will be issued in this regard.

 

GSUK Teachers’ Day celebration

Kohima, September 2 (MExN): The Gorkha Students’ Union Kohima (GSUK) will be celebrating Teachers’ Day on September 5, 3:30 pm at GPPK Hall, Opp. Directorate of Printing & Stationary, Chandmari. President Meghraj Lama in a release has informed all Gorkha/Nepali teachers, senior members, students, ex-executives, unit members, NGO’s and well wishers under Kohima district to attend the programme.

 

33 pooling stations under Pughoboto approved

Zunheboto, September 2 (MExN): ADC & DEO Pughoboto, Phuleshe K Yepthomi has informed that the ECI has approved 33 polling stations under Pughoboto. All the 33 polling stations along with the voters list under 13 -Pughoboto are available in the office, the release also informed. The list has also been dispatched to all the political parties and BLOs.

 

Immanuel College PTA meet held

Dimapur, September 2 (MExN): Immanuel College 6th PTA meeting for the higher secondary students was held at the College Conference Hall on August 31. The objective of the meeting was to communicate to the parents, the areas in which their child is excelling and to suggest =ideas on how to improve the performance of the students. The meeting was also called to interact with parents and guardians and also apprise them of the strengths, needs, behaviours and learning method of the students. The meeting was chaired by Hriizia Lajeo, Assistant Professor. Th. Sharatchandra Singh, Principal Immanuel College delivered the welcome address. Speech on behalf of the parents/guardians was given by Gokwang Konyak, Warden Boys Hostel IMC followed by an interactive session.
