NIIT Dimapur Teachers’ Day

Free Eye Screening Camp

Dimapur, September 3 (MExN): Lions Club of Dimapur in association with Jorhat Lions Eye Hospital will be conducting its 1st Free Eye Screening Camp for IOL surgery (Cataract) on September 15 and 16, 8:00 am at Lions Health Centre, Midland, Dimapur. Free checkup along with medical advice and medicines will be given, a release from its Chairperson informed. Zeme Council elects new members

Dimapur, September 3 (MExN): The Election Commission, Zeme Council Nagaland has elected Dr Tumda Newme as its new President. D. KGPO new office bearers elected

Dimapur, September 3 (MExN): The Kuhuboto Ghakhu Public Organization (KGPO) in its general meeting held on August 11 at Kuhuboto town elected new office bearers for the tenure 2018-2021 headed by GB Kuhovi Zhimomi as President and Kahoto Zhimomi as General Secretary, a release from Hokiye Yepthomi, Convenor, Selection Committee, KGPO informed.

 

RNPC general meet held

Dimapur, September 3 (MExN): The Rengma Naga Peoples’ Council held its annual General Body Meeting (GBM) on August 22 at Dimapur. New office headed by K Solomon H Rengma as President, Simon J Rengma as General Secretary was elected. The Council has requested its members to clear membership fees for the year 2018-2019, a release from its President K Solomon H Rengma and Aga Rengma Secretary Media Cell informed. Besides, it has asked its associated units; he Rengma Mothers’ Association, Karbi Anglong, Rengma Naga Youth Organisation, Karbi Anglong, Western Rengma Students’ Union, Nagaland Rengma Naga Students’ Union, Karbi Anglong, Rengma Naga Employees Association, Rengma Naga Cultural Society and Western Rengma Union Dimapur to consult and deliberate with the apex body on any sensitive political or social issues.

 

BNSS meet held

Kohima, September 3 (MExN): Bhrastachar Nirmulan Sangharsh Samiti (Anti Corruption Organization), Nagaland held a meeting at its office, Kohima on August 29. The meeting reiterated its stance on the aims and objectives of the organization, a release from R Sopu Angami, President and Kedou Rüpreo, Chief Organizer stated. It stated that the organization is committed to protect and preserve culture and tradition of Indian society and to fight against the root cause of corruption, to prevent Benami transaction and to create awareness and training to fight corruption. The release further stated that a delegation of eight members from Nagaland will be attending nation conference scheduled to be held at Latur, Maharashtra on September 17.
