ANHTU Dimapur Unit meeting

Dimapur, September 19 (MExN): The All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) Dimapur Unit has convened a meeting on September 23 at 11:00 am in the Banker (Hsspak Burma Camp). The unit has informed that there will be general election for new office bearers. Therefore, all the Hindi teachers under Dimapur district are requested to attend the meeting without fail.

Mkg: Two arrested with Brown Sugar

Mokokchung, September 19 (MExN): Mokokchung Police on Monday (September 18) while conducting frisking and checking at Sewak gate, Mokokchung recovered 1.19 grams (approx.) of Brown Sugar from the possession of Morenba (20). On further inquiry, the Police raided a house belonging to Takayapang (33) and recovered 10.35 grams (approx.) of Brown Sugar from his residence. In this connection, a case has been registered at Mokokchung Police Station-II and both the arrested accused person were booked under relevant section of law, informed a press release issued by Additional Superintendent of Police & PRO, Mokokchung. 

Seminar held in Phek

Dimapur, September 19 (MExN): Under the aegis of the Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU), a seminar was organised under the theme ‘adolescence and its challenges in modern society’ at Phek town hall on September 16. The seminar aimed to educate the adolescent girls on various issues and topics such as menstrual hygiene awareness, sex education, tobacco and domestic violence. The resource persons were Neiwe-ü Losou Kotso, Psychologist DTCC (NTCP) District Hospital Phek and Nutalü Keyho, Counsellor, DSRC, District Hospital Phek. After the programme, sanitary pads manufactured chemical free by the Department of Science & Technology, Nagaland were distributed to the students.
