Believers perform special song of praise during Christmas celebration at Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima on December 25.  Christmas, was celebrated across Nagaland with religious fervour. The 37th annual khel sports meets of Diezephe village kick started on December 27 at the village local ground. Ashihrii Loli, Asst director SIB, Ministry of Home Affairs, GiI was the special guest at the inaugural programme. The first day of the event witnessed football, badminton and some athletic events. This Sports Meet will continue till December 30.
In commemoration of the Sümi Martyrs’ Day on December 28, the leaders of the Sümi Hoho and its frontal organizations viz Sümi Kükami Hoho, Sümi Totimi Hoho, Sümi Kiphimi Küqhakulu and Zunheboto Town GBs Association had a brief programme at Sümi Martyrs’ Park, Sukhalu village, Zunheboto. The leaders paid an obituary reference in honour of the Martyrs and placed wreaths at their graves. Short speech was delivered by Sumi Hoho Vice President, Hokishe Kiba.
