Patanjali Foods Ltd organised a mega event celebration at Tuli sub-division on oil palm for zone-II on August 4 with around 50 farmers along with officials from directorate of agriculture, Government of Nagaland and agriculture officers from zone-II. The chief guest, C Peter Yanthan, Additional Director, Agriculture encouraged the participants to produce standard quality Fresh Fruit Bunch, stated a press release. The scheme in-charge Z Hukhato Sema, Joint Director, Agriculture highlighted the facilities available under NMEO-OP. 

Village Council Chairman Union Jalukie Block covering 17 villages led by President Bedusai Theliio and Secretary, Liangkiebo Pame donated the food provisions for the Manipur displaced people at Ahthibung town on August 5. The relief committee including Kamhen Chongloi -chairman, Seilun Singson-Finance Secretary and Tonga Hangsing- Secretary received the donation on behalf of the displaced people in a brief function held AR Town Hall Ahthibung.

Don Bosco College 9th Fresher's Day was organized by the Management, Staff and Students of Don Bosco College, Kohima on August 5 with Helievi-O Solo, Chairman Kohima Village as the special invite. Mhao T Shitri, Political Science Department and Kiivetholii Vero of Sociology Department won the title of Mr Fresher and Ms Fresher 2023-2024. 

The District Level Coordination Committee meeting under IFAD FOCUS Project with all HoDs of Agri & Allied departments was held at DPDB hall Longleng on August 5. The meeting was chaired by Dr Samuel Akho Konyak, P NCS, EAC and Nodal Officer, DLCC- FOCUS. Mokeya Tep, DPO-FOCUS briefed the house on the exit strategy of FOCUS and Akangtula Jamir, DPA-FOCUS highlighted the importance of convergence reports from all agri-allied departments as part of the convergence programme. Training material received from FAO was also distributed to the Department of Horticulture, Soil and water conservation, and Veterinary to disseminate the information to the farming community. Phek Government College observed its 41st annual fresher’s day with Bharat Laxman Markad, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Phek, as guest speaker on August 5. The SP Phek in his address urged the students to make effort and seek knowledge. He exhorted the students to develop and make good friendship, and enjoy the transformative experience which college life offers. Further, he advised young people to stay away from substance abuse as it always led to regret. Vamve Huire and Keneikhrienuo Sachu were declared Mr. and Miss Fresher 2023. 

Rengma Hoho team conducted visit to 11 offices in and around Tseminyu as part of its first phase of getting to know the functioning of various departments. The team concluded the day with a consultative meeting with the Deputy Commissioner, Tseminyu.
