Coinciding with the launch of the ICDS-CAS all over Nagaland, the Dimapur Urban project of the Department of Social Welfare rolled out the scheme at Community Hall Duncan Bosti, Dimapur on May 7. Speaking at the programme CDPO Dimapur (Urban), Robert Odyuo gave a brief overview about the objective of the scheme. During the programme, smart phones were issued to 125 trainees of Anganwadi workers on the project. According to CDPO, issuing of mobile phone was aimed for real time monitoring of all activities under the ICDS Scheme which is being implemented by the Department. (DIPR Photo)

The Tening Village Cultural Society organised a one day cultural cultivation day on Araning Zam with the aim to preserve cultivation practice and to bring the villagers closer through social activities on May 7. A press release issued by the Tening Village Cultural Society (TVCS) stated that jhum cultivation is commonly practice by Nagas in northeast India. This year, Tening Village Council has decided to shift to Araning Zam which has been preserved for more than ten year. This system is adapted by the local in moist forest and hilly area. The Model Higher Secondary School (MHSS), Kohima organized a felicitation programme for toppers at the school assembly ground on May 7. The school felicitated five toppers, which includes M. Chumbeno Humtsoe- Top 9 (87.80%), Tonpha Luklem-Top 10 (87.60 %) of Science Stream, Moses Changkija-Top 10 (90.40%) of Arts Stream, Nuzhienuo Kire- Top 5 (91.80%) and subject topper (Derivative Market- 94 marks and Capital Market- 98 marks) and Sushma Biswakarma-Top 7 (91.40%) both from commerce stream.
