The decision of the Cabinet Sub-Committee to recommend for selection of Non SCS for existing vacant IAS post has generated two different reactions.

While the Confederation of four Associations(CoFA) has lauded the decision, the Nagaland Civil Service Association (NCSA) has registered its displeasure over the same issue.

Consequently, the four Associations - CANSSEA FONSESA, NSSA, and NF&ASA today called off its ongoing pen-down strike with immediate effect following a decision by Cabinet Sub-Committee.

The decision was conveyed to the four associations after a meeting of the Cabinet Sub-Committee on November 23 at the State Banquet Hall, informed a DIPR report.

The Associations also lauded the Cabinet Sub-Committee and the State Cabinet for delivering justice on the basis of the laid down rules, it added.

Meanwhile, the Nagaland Civil Service Association (NCSA) has resolved to abstain from official duty on November 24 in protest against the decision of the State Government.

It was decided at NCSA’s executive meeting held on November 23 following the Cabinet Sub-Committee’s decision. “All the NCS officers are hereby informed to strictly adhere to the decision,” stated a press release issued by NCSA President.
