The Nagaland Pencak Silat team which is set to participate in the national championship in Punjab from August 19 onwards.
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 14 (MExN): A 10 member team of the Nagaland Pencak Silat team is set to participate in the upcoming Junior National Pencak Silat Championship to be held in Amritsar, Punjab from August 19 to 21 organised by Indian Pencak Silat Federation.
The team will leave Nagaland for the championship on August 17.
A press release from the Nagaland Pencak Silat Association informed that the Nagaland team will be headed by President, Khevishe Sema with his two officials Hetoi Sema, A Ghunato Sema and Deep Kumar. The junior team will take part in 4 events in the National Championship in Tending, Ganda, Tunggal and Regu event. The players are Kitenlo K. Thono, Kivinoka Swu, Kevin, Imnatoshi Longkumer, Nasher and Manish Chhetri.
During the championship, the Indian Pencak Silat Federation will select the best junior players to represent India in the International Junior Pencak Silat Championship to be held in Malaysia and Singapore in later part of September 2019.
